It's casual BECAUSE of the huge amounts of health, along with the garuntee of never getting killed instantly; You can be the worse player in the world and still do reasonably well thanks to this. That is casual. Hardcore, on the otherhand, is kill-or-be-killed. If you're seen first, you're dead. No questions asked. That's hardcore.
You have no idea what the difference between a casual and hardcore game is.
Section 8 was awesome, and I'm really glad it's getting a sequel, but OP is dumb. There are better FPS's in a multitude of ways. No game is perfect. I hope they keep that passive modules system. Was lots of fun being able to completely modify your class.

Sure, I like Halo a hell of a lot more, but S8 deserves the throne as a very solid game.
Is it just me or is that possibly the stupidest subtitle ever?
Community size doesn't dictate if the game is "casual" or not, but rather how it plays. Just pointing out a little flaw you had there.
What? That's not true at all. You're referencing Bad Company 2-style insta-kill weapons, I assume, and, while I completely agree that it can be "hardcore", it certainly doesn't mean Section 8 isn't. Hardcore (which is a terrible term, really) implies skill and higher-level Section 8 took a ton of skill. A lot more than games like Bad Company 2 when it came to combat. BC2 is hide and seek, Section 8 is actually fighting. Not that it's realistic, but realism is hardly fun. Oh, and about being the "worst player in the world"; you will be mercilessly slaughtered. It's like saying anyone can do reasonably well in Street Fighter just because you don't get KO'd in one punch. [editline]10:31PM[/editline]
Is it just me or is that possibly the stupidest subtitle ever?
Much as I like the game, I'm tempted to agree with this.
Is it just me or is that possibly the stupidest subtitle ever?
Better subtitle than "Actress Again"
Glad they made a sequel, the single player was ridiculously short (only about 2-3 hours long) but the multi-player was great fun, jet-packing over walls, running at crazy fast speeds, deploying turrets, calling in vehicles. It's a shame hardly anyone played it.
I was in beta for the original S8, and I loved the gameplay. I promised myself I would buy it, but just never did. After that, it faded into oblivion. I hadn't thought much about the game since then, but reminiscing on the beta, I'm excited for Prejudice. Hopefully they put out a beta for it.
How many times have you seen players drop in flak cannon range? Provide boxes for their remains. You know when Section 8 first came out I for some odd reason thought it would be something like Republic Commandos. I don't know why either.
wow, this looks much better than the first Section 8. it kind of reminds me of Halo but on a bigger scale.
Actually that trailer looked quite nice. Lot better then Section 8. Well we have to see how it will work out in the end.
wow, this looks much better than the first Section 8. it kind of reminds me of Halo but on a bigger scale.
It's not like Halo. Please don't expect it to be like Halo.
I was in the beta for section 8. It was boring as fuck. All weapons did little damage when compared to players with 800 health or something like that and the game just didn't feel fun ever.
It's not like Halo. Please don't expect it to be like Halo.
I said it looks like it. why would I expect it to be like Halo when isn't even Halo related and different type of game? grpahically and from the combat they showed the games looked similar. MoH look like MW1/2 to me but I don't expect to be like those games.

It didn't help that it was releasing around the same time as Halo: ODST.
I did, however, enjoy sniping on Section 8. It proved interesting.
Well consider yourself intelligent, most people saw robotic armor and immediately assumed it would play like Halo. eww
the only thing that made me think on Halo was the armor, with how smart most kids are they buy this game just based on that observation.
That's Marketing for you.
I saw some gameplay for this game. (The original) [sp]Never watching it again.[/sp] [editline]d[/editline] Tbh, Prejudice trailer doesn't look too bad. :v:
That's Marketing for you.
isn't it a wonderful thing?

Section 8 was horrible and this doesn't look any better at all.
Let's see if I will hear anything about this game. The first had a non-existant advertising.
The problem is that new multiplayer fps's have to compete with giant ones that appeal to their general category. Section 8 has an active community for the PS3 because there are no other Sci-Fi Multiplayer FPS's out there on PS3, unlike on the Xbox.
Section 8 was horrible and this doesn't look any better at all.
Thanks for your constructive post. I can now tell exactly what you didn't like about the game.
Because it has robotic suits? Last I checked Crysis didn't invent robotic suits.
I'm sorry, but what game have you been playing? Crysis has no robotic suits. And no, it looks like a crysis mod, because it looks like a fucking crysis mod. The overall feel, look and style of the mod just screams crysis to me. But hey, maybe it's just me.

It's a full game running on Unreal 3.
It's a full game running on Unreal 3.
Could have fooled me.
Crysis, no robotic suits? Excuse me? Also it's not a mod. It's a full game running on Unreal 3.
Yes, no robotic suits. Again, what game have you been playing.
