Crysis has nanosuits not robosuits.
Could have fooled me.
How so? Seriously, just "it was bad" or "it was boring" or "I didn't like it" is very frustrating to listen to when you present no reasons for saying so.
These types of posts are dumb because, believe it or not, people can dislike a game simply because it bores them. You're getting really overprotective and butthurt over anything negative that people say unless they write a fucking report on it.
sorry sir but your opinion is wrong.
what??????????
Could have fooled me.
I see what you did there. Nanosuits

robo/powersuits

please stop arguing now.
Nanosuits are far better considering they can synthesize materials and repair themselves actively while a powersuit will only be able to be repaired by man.

I used MC from Halo 2 because that is the coolest MC out of them all.
Yes, no robotic suits.
Again, what game have you been playing.
You're arguing about nothing.
These types of posts are dumb because, believe it or not, people can dislike a game simply because it bores them.
Games don't 'just bore' people. There's reasons for why a game would be bad. The problem here is that there are no reasons for anyone to hate Section 8 so it's really confusing when people say they hate it.
Sorry sir but your opinion is wrong.
Just because you like a game and someone doesn't does not mean their opinion is wrong. They just like different games with different play styles.
And stop defending this game as though it is the god game of the decade and is overly underrated, because in reality it is a mediocre game that didn't have much potential.

It's obvious you've never played Section 8. It is the god game of the decade. At least the god FPS of the decade. Up there with Quake 3.

"YOU DISAGREE WITH MY OPINION SO YOU MUST BE TROLLING AND/OR TALKING OUT OF YOUR ASS!!!!!"
Shut up.
Games don't 'just bore' people.
No they can. Very easily, in fact.
I tried the Section 8 beta on the 360. It wasn't very fun.
I am willing to try this one though.
Looks like more of the same to me.
"YOU DISAGREE WITH MY OPINION SO YOU MUST BE TROLLING AND/OR TALKING OUT OF YOUR ASS!!!!!"

I don't think they're trolling, I just think they don't know what Section 8 is about. Again, I'm pretty confident about all this.
And game isn't 'just boring' and that's it. I'll say again, if a game is boring there is a reason.
[editline]04:34PM[/editline]

Yup. Get hype.

Exactly. I'm not arguing about anything. I simply stated it looks like a crysis mod to me. Not my fault he takes it as some sort of personal insult.
And game isn't 'just boring' and that's it. I'll say again, if a game is boring there is a reason.
Ok, it's boring because of it's repetition.
this is a whole lot of fuss about a game
Exactly. I'm not arguing about anything. I simply stated it looks like a crysis mod to me. Not my fault he takes it as some sort of personal insult.
It's because I'm fucking tired of people saying that it looks like X and that it's derivative or somehow not deserving of being a full game.
I have no idea how the robosuit thing came about, you mentioned that.
Stop blindly defending a game that obviously wasn't the best game ever made. You're almost as bad as those console fanboys.
or even worse, those pc fanboys
now we know why they call it prejudice
halo reach

Whether or not it's the "best game ever" is purely subjective. I think it's the best MP FPS ever, if you disagree, it's not "obviously" bad.
halo reach
Yeah that looks pretty decent. Are you trying to communicate something?

To me S8 seemed like a reboot of Planetside, only on a smaller scale. And indeed many of the maps reminded me of the continents of Planetside. Especially that one with the giant satellite dish, that reminded me of Searhus.
The design is far from generic. The customization system is extremely flexible with playstyles, dynamic command missions made every match different, mobility was almost never an issue with the ability to run at high speeds, dropping anywhere on the map made the game even from the start of the game, so many design choices that make the game incredibly unique.
You hit the nail on the head as to why I liked the game in beta.
I was in beta for the original S8, and I loved the gameplay. I promised myself I would buy it, but just never did. After that, it faded into oblivion. I hadn't thought much about the game since then, but reminiscing on the beta, I'm excited for Prejudice. Hopefully they put out a beta for it.
Pretty much my experience with S8 right here. And don't forget hot-dropping into an enemy controlled SOI.
Games don't 'just bore' people. There's reasons for why a game would be bad. The problem here is that there are no reasons for anyone to hate Section 8 so it's really confusing when people say they hate it.
There's a psychology term for this but I can't for the life of me remember the name.
But I can describe it: Suppose you have fish for dinner one night after a long time without fish (for the record, I hate fish but I'll use the analogy anyways). You initially feel excited about having something different. The next day you have leftover fish. And the next day, and the next day (ew). Eventually you get so disgusted at fish don't want any more.
That is what I think of "boring" when it comes to games, you play it so much you just get burnt out.

I've put 100 hours into S8 and never got bored. Sometimes it's fish with intel and outpost missions. Sometimes it's fish with the enemy at 998 victory points and your team has all the points under control to make a comeback. Sometimes it's fish with me taking down a team of 3 enemies by myself.
it looks like halo and ut3

And the mini-mission variety is what makes this game live longer than others.
Community size doesn't dictate if the game is "casual" or not, but rather how it plays. It's casual BECAUSE of the huge amounts of health, along with the garuntee of never getting killed instantly; You can be the worse player in the world and still do reasonably well thanks to this. That is casual.
Hardcore, on the otherhand, is kill-or-be-killed. If you're seen first, you're dead. No questions asked. That's hardcore.
Just pointing out a little flaw you had there.
Naw, I think games that make players walking tanks take more skill. Games like Call of Duty just rely more on speed and reflexes.
I like games that are sort of in between Halo and Call of Duty. Players have enough health to make it challenging, but not so little that the game becomes to easy.
it looks like halo and ut3
Trolls have no subtlety any more.

Oh believe me you should have seen him preaching about how L4D2 was going to suck when it was announced and how were getting ripped off and blah blah in every thread.
Then he made a thread asking if someone would buy it for him and he tried to save face from his several month long period. :downs:
