Fuck your visuals or "Lame ass 3D". The fact they could be making one is good enough for me
Holy fuck yes yes yes my life is complete I just hope they choose to go the realistic route graphics-wise and stray away from that cartoony shit. RCT 1&2 struck a nice balance between realism and cartoony.
Isn't that why it's called roller coaster tycoon?, I know it's got other rides, but that's the main feature.
No, that is not why it is called Roller Coaster Tycoon....
I am surprised, I remember when mentioning rct4 on the atari forums was taboo and everybody was sure it wasn't going to happen. [editline]11:57PM[/editline] I hope they take the clue that all people do with all 3 games is make amazing looking parks, and make the rides realistic and the building a shit ton better.
I enjoy the management.
My coasters are always these retarded things that are spread out all over the place.
make the UI not confusing as hell
Seems good.
I enjoy the management.
Don't get me wrong, I like it too, but it always ends in you making the park you want anyway, or some prebuilt dross just to pointlessly win. Not to say they shouldn't fix that.
Meh the last one sucked dick. In fact none of them were ever that good.
Fuck yeah! I played the first 2 all the time when I was a kid! Edit: But if Chris Sawyer isn't involved i'll pass.
I'd honestly like stuff like employee strikes, safety/health inspectors, media coverage that can be good/bad, bring back the ability to kill your customers, and make it a very bad thing- able to close the park if not handled properly. Of course make these all optional but yeah- add lots of depth, but also make it possible to just be a mindless park builder, also- undo button, I don't know what they were thinking when they didn't have one in RCT3.
let me fulfill my lifelong dream of physically selling tickets at the entrance. boring job simulator ahoy! Bonus DLC is mechanic and custodian. :v:
I would prefer it to be isometric but still in 3D, like how sc2 is. Also, there better be the cheats you activate by naming the guests
Fuck yeah. All three RCT games were awesome - I really hope this goes ahead. Also, nostalgic thread music:
Two was far superior to three.
Two was obviously the best in the series, and the only reason it was better than one is because it was one with just a few added features
I would prefer it to be isometric but still in 3D, like how sc2 is. Also, there better be the cheats you activate by naming the guests
This was on 3, You could go on options and set camera view to isometric.
They were fun when I was a kid. I dunno, I guess I just lost interest in the series as I grew older.
As mentioned elsewhere, keep the isometric style but 3D :)
Hope it's more like 2 and less like 3. RCT3 really was only fun because of the physics and launching coasters on to crowds.
I want it like 2, but keep the Coaster Cam. It's a nice little feature to let you ride your rides.
Isometric 3D, with the UI of the first/second game.
There was nothing wrong with RCT3 at all. It's RCT2 plus more coasters, features and a deeper management system and a optional 3D camera. All you who call it a shitty game either A: Looked at it, saw the graphics and said "SHIITE!!" or B: Never played it and are going off the opinions of group A.
All the rides and features are great, there's a fuckton of them, but I never really liked the rollercoasters. They looked shit and were worse to ride. I just don't think the separate pieces and also the grid translates well in to 3d.
I do not agree. Although, they could use a ton of improvement.

Not the actual quality, but the style. It detracts from the entire experience.
If it does, you're way too hung up on graphics.
If Chris Sawyer isn't a part of the dev team, I don't want it.
Chris Sawyer wouldn't improve it. He barely did anything besides think of the concept of "Tycoon" and add shit in front of it.
