Ability is pretty much needed. Nature is also required. Unless egg moves, moves are not nessesary.
Alright. I'm assuming not all the natures are good, which ones should I aim for?
Blitzle is close to evolving, woo..
Anyone know where I can buy Stat increasing items? I need to buff up Blitzle's defence, it sucks Mankey arse.
What level was everyone at fourth gym
Finally find my GBA SP charger and pop in Sapphire.
To find that the internal battery has died.
:v:
I was from lvl19 to 24 when I battled Elesa. I was down to my last poke (Tranquill) when I managed to win somehow.
Currently challenging Clay with:

29 Darumaka (lol thrash tank)

27 Yamask

26 Scraggy

27 Dewott

27 Munna

26 Tranquill
Most common ones are
Adamant for physical attackers.
Modest for special attackers.
Jolly for speedy physical attackers.
Timid for speedy special attackers.
+Speed - (Sp)Def for speedy mixed attackers.
+(Sp)Attack -(Sp)Def for mixed attackers (use both physical and special moves).
+(Sp)Def -(Sp)Attack for bulky pokemon or +(Sp)Def -Speed.

Good Luck. Dewott (and Scraggy) are the only ones that can really do anything.
Does anyone have a Shinx?
based on the majority of your experiences, the elec gym sounds pretty tough, huh?
I wouldn't say it's tough, but damn, the leader uses Volt Switch so much and it's annoying as fuck.
I used to be big into EV/IV training back with Diamond, but I don't bother anymore. I had the perfect team back then and started to realize that, since all my friends didn't know how to train properly, they didn't want to fight me because they always lost. That and playing online is boring.
So now I just play like I used to. Not caring about what my team is like and only going by who looks cool.

Well my Conkledorr (the "BIG MAN") is lvl 31 so I'm guessing I could just sweep through the whole thing with Low Kick and Dig.
Just caught an Audino! Used a premier ball, too!
I'm getting a DS and Pokemon gold this Thursday, anything I should know? (I haven't played since the original Gold)

don't get gold. Get black or white
Defeated Skyla and got my 6th gym badge. Later I'm given Surf right before entering Twist Mountain and it makes me realize that I don't have a single Water-type Pokemon.
Why are water types so goddamn scarce in this game so far? Only water-type I was able to capture so far was a Tympole that I don't plan on training. Anyone got any suggestions?

Is it possible for the touch screen to be disabled?
Ducklett?
Eh...
I wonder if anyone's got a Tirtouga they're willing to trade...

I dunno, my Darumaka has been sweeping through almost all that stood in it's way (Hasty+Quick Claw+Belly Drum+Thrash).
Just about to battle Clay now, had to go to work for like 2 hours :v:.
So yeah. What general level should my team be before the E4?
50

There are somethings you will need the touchscreen for.
Plus, you will learn to love it once you try using it for battles after 30mins.

Oh... unlucky.
No dance comp for you.
Does this happen with any of your other games?

No, just Pokemon.
Also having issues finding the last book in the second gym.
Talk to the girl in the middle.
[editline]12th March 2011[/editline]
The game tricked me there, 'oh boy that sounds like Tepig's descri- eh locomotive?'
God fucking damn it the end game was amazing! this whole game is amazing! This game completely blows any other pokemon game I've ever played out of the water. Also fuck Ghetis. (however you spell his name)

The last clue doesn't even make sense. The girl in the middle section is who you have to talk to.
