I think i fucked up my soulsilver, Im at the last gym and i fucked around with the action replay codes on the acekard, Now the last gym leader thinks i've already beaten her so i cant battle her or get a badge :(
So I tried pokemon Black instead, it feels dumbed down compared to soulsilver, Barely any touch functions left, in soulsilver you could open backpack, save etc with a separate screen for all that stuff, now i have to open it up with X or Y or whatever, And i cant even toggle running shoes anymore? sucks.

How does using buttons constitute something being 'dumbed down'? Touchscreen functions just slowed everything down and was for silly casuals anyway.

didnt notice performance issues with soulsilver, and not having to hold B all the time to run was AWESOME.

Assuming you encounter a Magicarp every 30 seconds, luck dictates it will be 68.26 hours before you encounter one.

I always felt the touchscreen stuff a bit sluggish compared to hitting buttons, particularly when you have to keep checking to see if the game's decided that various menus etc. are touch-only. Fair enough on the last bit though, makes it easier to play one-handed.

You have a better chance (not sure of exact percentage, but the odds are quartered I believe) if you get it by breeding a female Magikarp with a Ditto (or other appropriate) of a different nationality (i.e came from a Japanese game or an American game).
Didn't get to the daycare yet, I've not seen a shiny pokemon so far in this game so I might as well keep fishing until I find him, isn't it like a 1 in 8000some chance?

Can you get another Liberty Pass if you start a new game? I really fucked up by just rushing through with my first pokemon and now I'm at the point where if that dies, my other pokemon are too weak to stand any chance, so I figure I may as well start again, I'm only up to the 5th gym anyway.

Go back to Castelia City, get Exp. Share from the Battle Co. building and grind.

You get EXP Share from the Boss guy on the top floor, you don't have to beat everyone.

I have a shiny Wingull x2, Buoysel, and Staravia in my Pearl (the Staravia I found in the wild, the other 3 I got through chaining).

What's it's moveset? I only encountered Dragon's Pulse 4 times before I was finally able to crit him to death.

I had the same problem, maybe not getting ko'd in one hit especially though. I just kept using hyper potions until it ran out of PP for it's bullshit moves.
Also someone with Pokemon white, you would consider lending me a Thundurus so I can catch Landorus?

Dragon Pulse (fucks up my 3 dragon pokemon)
Fire Blast (amazingly enough, never seems to miss and fucks up my Bisharp)
Focus blast (fucks up my bisharp some more)
Surf (odd move for a dragon pokemon to know, but yeah, fucks up my Emboar and my Archeops)
I will add I did get a lucky shot in one try and I critical hit the Hydreigon down, but then his Seismetoad steamrolled what was left off my team after their beating. The other pokemon of his won't be a problem, it's just those 2...
How do I get items the dowsing machine finds if they are underground? Do I need dig or am I missing something.
