After an epic struggle, I finally managed to catch a Ditto. Now I can breed some Tepigs for leverage on GTS Negotiation! Any others I should breed? I'm going to do some Solosis and Larvesta as well (even though my egg of the latter has yet to hatch).

While my little brother was EV training for SP. Attack in Celestial Tower he caught a fucking modest shiny Litwick.
Then while EV training for Attack in the Dragonspiral Tower... fucking adamant shiny Golett.
I'm giving him 5 bucks for 'em, but I want his cartridge more...

I've had to have battled 10,000 pokemon since Gen 2, where shinies were introduced, and the only ones I have seen or have are an event Pichu and Garyados.

Once on Ruby I got extremely lucky and found a shiny Zigzagoon. Never found another shiny since.
I found a shiny Tentacool in Saphire. I almost shit my pants because it was the first shiny I ever saw.

Rrrrggghhh what the FUCK. I try out the Wi-Fi Battle Train and of fucking course it's dominated by nothing but Japanese players using overpowered Pokemon and I lose on the first battle. So much for trying to win seven battles for BP.
Why can I NEVER win online battles? I have swapped and trained so many pokemon it's fucking ridiculous. I spent countless hours trying to give my team the best moves, tactics, etc. and it's all a fucking waste. 0 wins, 12 losses online. What the hell am I doing wrong? Yes, I'm mad. :|

All i can think of is that you're not using super effective moves or stat boosters/Enemy stat lowerers. Status alignment moves like Toxic and especially Yhunder wave wouldn't hurt either.
