Did you seriously just diss Diglett, and Porygon?
Diglett is a brown ball buried in the ground, Porygon is so inconsistent with the rest it doesn't fit at all.
Did I say first gen didn't have terrible designs, Too? You really shouldn't put words into people's mouths.
Yeah you did, you said it "strayed from the initial idea", just because you didn't state it explicitly doesn't mean you can get away with spreading the bullshit that new generations somehow have worse designs than the first two.
If anything I dislike how they stuck to the first generation too much with the new bat, the new rock, etc. etc.
And the ice cream cone/chandelier are pretty stupid but I don't think they beat Nosepass and Farfetch'd in terms of lol randumb, since they're based on real stuff and not just "let's combine these two completely unrelated things".
I like all Pokemon's designs. Take some time to understand the direction the creators took with each design.
Also; Screw the Electric Gym. Sandile can't reach the Emolgas.
All generations have their shit designs, but the newer ones just have an abundant amount of them in my opinion.

Porygon is one of my favourites! I mean seriously. A Virtual reality pokemon? It's so mysterious!

Start pointing them out, then.
Start pointing out bad designs? for all Gens or newer ones?

Gen V.
hell yes got umbreon on the global link thing
I know, but I'm long past the chargestone cave part of the story, I'm up to the E4..
Yeah, for some reason Juniper seems to screw people out of items she should give occasionally. As for me, I didn't get that RageCandyBar. Bye bye Daramukan with Zen ability.
Off the top of my head Oshawatts and its evolutions, Patrat, munna, the element monkeys, one would have been okay, but it was really just an excuse to say, look 3 different pokemon, without putting up too much effort. Unfezant, male, female looks okay. throh and Sawk. genesect, and Those three legendaries that are basically pallet swaps, I don't know their names.
i fail to see any problem with oshawott
alright give me some examples of why you think so
and if they include/are only Vanilluxe, Chandelure, Klinklang, or Garbodor, you lose
Don't know the names, but the title pokemon are pretty shitty in design.

I personally think this is a matter of nostalgia though (not saying your opinion is wrong). It's just that all new gens get shit for having 'bad designs', while in truth they have never been much worse than the first gen. Problem is, everyone only remembers Charizard, Nidoking and Gengar from the first gen, and only seem to remember Magmortar and Bidoof from the later ones.
[edit]Also, I don't see what makes Lugia so much more appealing than Reshiram/Zekrom. Because it has man-hands? Because of nostalgia-glasses? I dunno, you tell me.
I kinda like Zekrom. Made me buy white over black...well that and Braviary.
Does anyone know where I can find any subbed versions of BW 23 & 24?

Funny, you choose probably the best of each titled game for the examples. (White looks too much of a pussy and Ho-oh appears to be on crack, personal opinion of course) But I like the Black legendary and Lugia. They beat Pikachu any day.

This is probably true. I could go through and name off terrible first and second gens too, but that wouldn't do much good. And for the record Magmortar was a bamf.

question: can i breed my eeveelution to produce an eevee with anticipation (its DW ability) so i can then get any eeveelution with a DW ability?
The three monkeys have nothing to do with bad design, you're given one of them depending on the starter you choose, why confuse players by basically making two starters?
You're not supposed to get them all unless you look for them, too.
Salty, isnt synchronise better than inner focus for umbreon? im probably gonna get espeon, its ability seems the most useful
Synchonise is better, as it hurts other walls from toxicing. Inner focus only stops fake out
Oshawott's Evolutions are clever I think. Starts out as a small cute sea otter, becomes a samurai, then a SHOGUN! And his Elbow Shells are SWORDS. That's pretty rad.
Patrat, along with Watchog are based on Meerkats and that vest that crossing guards wear.
Munna's design has been around for years. See the last page. Plus, its supposed to be the counterpart to Drowzee and Hypno.
The three monkeys were based on various spices, as their trainers are. Plus, a neat gimmick where your starter determines the one you fight, offering a difficult first gym challenge.
The Three Japanese Gods are all based on actual...Japanese gods.
Unfezant's male and female forms are based on Birds where the male is flashier to attract the uglier female. Pheasants I think the birds are called. Throh and Sawk continue the Kanto Tradition of a Duo Fighting Pair, this time with some form of Karate and Judo.
I fuckin' love learning about how the Pokemon came into fruition.
Pretty sure Unfezant is a Pheasant, considering its name.
And speaking of Hypno, that guy is pretty ridiculous too.
I knew Pheasant had an H.

dragon >>> electrogundam
Seriously though, I do not really like the design of the monkeys. Simipour is a major fruit, nobody told Simisage Grease Lightning is over, and Simisear is just... why does he have to look so much like goddamned Ernie?
But it's not their designs I dislike most about them. It's the fact that every trainer and his do... Growlithe has one of those monkeys. They're fucking everywhere!

if this is what the evolution line looked like, you are damn right I would have picked him.
Oh, right, I never posted my team here:
Haxorus L48
Elektross L46
Mienshao L57
Serperior L45
Reshiram L51
Carracosta L42
I originally had a vullaby, but it got replaced by Reshiram [sp]after the unexpected Elite four thing[/sp].
