I made my own pokemon sig [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/uLpXl.jpg[/img_thumb] Thumbnail'd
Yep, only difference of playing B/W on a 3DS rather than a DSi is that it looks like it's got a little anti-aliasing. Thumb-stick is a godsend.
is there anyway to make the 3ds play pokemon full screen? instead of with like with the black borders?
Not that I know of, just that it software-emulates the games (which is prob why it looks a little different). And if I remember correctly, there were no 3DS enhancements for the games either. [editline]31st March 2011[/editline] Just think about it, the 3DS has been out in Japan for a while now, surely we would know of any enhancements from them long ago. [editline]31st March 2011[/editline] Plus I bought some cards today, one of those tins that have the starter figure with the 6 new pokemon and 40 random cards. I've said this before but cards of today are created stronger than those back then.
I didn't mean solely for pokemon, I just meant could the 3ds play and ds game full screened.
The only other non-pokemon DS game I have is the first Metroid game and I don't know where that's gotten to, so I haven't a clue. I would bet against any DS game released prior to the 3DS being able to take advantage of the extra screen space, they just weren't made for that.
WHY DOES DOUBLE TEAM EXIST damnit
I need to stop playing other games and get on with my leveling of my Pawniard, another 10 levels for it to evolve, 5 for my Mienfoo to get HJK, i'd rather not evolve it and get it earlier. And the rest of my team just needs 5 levels up in general to keep them up to snuff. Gonna try going in a little lower leveled this time, my entire team was above 50 going into the E4, gonna try it mid to upper forties for half, the other half will forcibly be above due to evolution.
What on earth is the point of the Pokemon Musical? You don't even win anything! Ruby/Sapphire appeal contests were much more fun - and they had a sort of gym progression to them as well.
My Basculin is doing awesome, I solo'ed both the Ground Gym, Flying Gym, and the Dragon Gym with him. His moveset could use some work though to take advantage of his ability... He knows; Surf Scald Crunch Aqua Jet I gave him Blackglasses because I haven't found an item that raises the Attack Power of Water-Type Moves yet.
You can save after catching it, you simply have to lose to either of them. Which I did, because I was using set battle style, no items, and an underleveled team; it's more fun to have the battles be an actual challenge.
Hmm, maybe I should try this losing thing. I've always just reset the game when I've lost. It's not really a burden since you almost never lose in Pokemon games when you're playing through the game.

I felt like I've missed out on a lot. I remember I used to be a major Pokemon fan when Red and Blue first came out, but now it's been well over 4 years, probably more, since I've last played any Pokemon game. I'll consider getting back into playing it when Pokemon on the 3DS gets released.

Breeding Snivy's. Got 20 of them ATM. Anyone interested?
Okay, question of the year: Do I replace my Gigalith with Axew so I can grind him into a Haxorus? I love my Gigalith to death, but I think I may need a dragon type...

And you could always do what I do, have a team of 8-10 Pokémon instead (and swap them accordingly, of course).

It's harder to level them evenly, though.

I agree with Salty. Even though the opponents are a bit more complex now, I am pretty sure that you can play as if they were Red and Blue, just with different Pokémon.
My white team has evolved into its final form: Braviary Bisharp Mienshao Jellicent Volcarona Archeops Provides a nice balance of types and cool dudes.
Anyone with a 3DS PM me your FC :v: Mine is: 4167-4503-1423
Already on the right half of the island leveling my team. I am in the low-mid 60s right now with all of them. I already finished Round One Elite Four.

To be fair I played a little bit of the older games up until the second batch of GBA games, but I never really paid attention to them at all. It's definitely different, but it's totally worth it. Also, I ended up restarting at least 10 times after I got completely wiped out by that one pokemon in the [sp]guidance chamber[/sp] before I realized that [sp]you're supposed to beat it[/sp].
Beat The Storyline. Holy shit was Ghetsis a pain in the ass. And I wanted to catch Reshiram in a Great Ball, winded up catching him in a Heal Ball by accident. Now he comes out all gay and shit. Ah well. My Krookodile, Eelectrik, and Archaeops won me the final battle. Basculin succumbed to poison...
WHY DOES DOUBLE TEAM EXIST damnit
I watched a battle subway video of a Ferrothorn and an Amoongus with double team fighting. Good lord.
Breeding Snivy's. Got 20 of them ATM. Anyone interested?
sure, im doing another runthrough, and i just beat skyla, so i don't really have anything useful to give you. Also, me and my friend listed all 151 originals from memory, he got about 10, i got the rest :smug:
There's going to be 3DS pokemon games, they even said so, but I'm not so sure about them being proper games instead of crappy side games
I don't think they'll be side games, the 3DS kinda feels like it will be Nintendo's primary Handheld, its got better graphics and capabilities then the DS, developers can do more with it. While I'm sure there will still be games coming out for the DS/DSi I think the next main Pokemon game will be on the 3DS, tho I wouldn't put it past them to release a side game like Rangers before that.
