What? They've said before now that they CAN'T update the 360 version because of the way they coded it or something. Now with Portal 2 on the PS3(and, therefore, their own port of the code, not EA), they could easily bring out TF2 for the PS3 and 360 with full updates, including trading etc etc.

Portal 2 is coming out in February, latest April, that's well within 12 months.

We are expecting them to release it. You probably mean that we just dont expect them to release it in the next 12 months. Well, now that they announced that they will announce something in the next 12 months, everyone hopes for Episode Three, so it's still not a surprise
First update: Cancelled Portal 2 announcement but with promised fourth update.
Second update: Portal 2 announcement.
Third: New polycount pack for TF2, release date pushed back to July 2011.
Fourth: Delayed.
EP3 counts as 3 surprises.

It's Alien swarm 2 which has been made commercial because of it's success, Ricochet source and the game about fairies that they planned before making left 4 dead.
