Not going to happen, you can even tell they arent high res in the screens and videos. They still use DXT compression with drastically lowers quality.

No, they use low texture sizes which drastically lowers quality. The compression is almost lossless, why do you think other games USING THE SAME COMPRESSION look better? They have higher resolution textures. And shader tricks, everyone loves shader tricks.

Still I'd like some nice old 1024X1024 with detail texture's back. Like the good old days of hl2 (I know most of them where actually 512x512) But Detail textures for the win!

Like with Portal 2, everyone was screaming "EP3!" and they're like YOU GUYS MUST BE SO EXCITED WE ARE FINALLY GOING TO RELEASE..... PORTAL 2.
Portal 2 will be bundled with Ep. 3 which is a 3 hour game.

DXT? Lossless? Holy shit no. DXT is fine for general purpose textures, but it kills things like smooth color transitions mercilessly.
Maybe we will finally get portal 2!

1. the DoTA project
2. a new campaign for alien swarm
3. more tf2 stuff that wasn't announced before, maybe a new update
that's all i can think of. other things might be half-life info or the L4D comic
