I honestly don't give a shit anymore. Wake me up when Episode 3 is released, but take me out of cryo-stasis slowly so I don't get stasis sickness
Wait, L4D Blog said there will be a new campaign called The Sacrifice(or something) for L4D2 and L4D1.

Old news.
i think that the big surprises will be we're making a new orange box (or the equivalent) with portal 2, and in it we will have A) some new game i can't immagine, and B) ep.3
That would be awesome.
Portal 2
Half-Life 2: Episode 3
Dota
+ Suprise?
All in one package for a reasonable $50. (I'd happily pay $70 for that)
Something Awful has a few guesses
EP3.
Then you download it, play it, and it's Ricochet: Source.
My wish list:
Linux Steam
Episode 3
The third one can be whatever, as long as the first two are true.
i can wait for the new half life what about ever body else
Assuming that Portal 2 and TF2 updates don't count.
Source 2, Duke Nukem, Half-life 3
I like how this got irrelevant two days after you posted.
Some kind of steam console would be cool, and definetly a step up for valve, but chances for that are very minimal.

I'd rather have Valve make their own OS.
Episode 3
Episode 3 for Mac
An Episode 3 trailer
I'm calling it!
That's what you think.
In 12 from the announcement it will be August, if you think Portal 2 won't be out by then, then yeah sure.
[editline]03:13PM[/editline]
Sorry but did none mention a Portal 2 Co-Op BETA?
Because iirc the Portal ARG ended with such a teaser.
Argh, the announcement says 3 surprises in the next 12 months.
So... I don't think the beta would be a surprise since Portal 2 is indeed coming in less than 12 months.

Well if we got a surprise now it would be in 12 months.
I'm assuming it's three surprises within 12 months.
Anything else makes little sense.
What is everyone talking about a new Valve/Steam IP? What does that even mean?
IP means Intellectual Property.
It could be a game, or a new program for example.
I'd rather have Valve make their own OS.
True, but chances of either happening are very very very small.

It means within the next 12 months.
Left 4 Dead 3
HL2 (EP)3
Crossroads (Or however that game was called)
True, but chances of either happening are very very very small.
Their own OS would still be a better choice.
Already installed Steam Game Library.
Hopefully their own music program to overthrow iTunes.
Their own Internet Browser.
All of FP and SPUF together would generate a load of money if they made that, and yeah. Small chances.

That is dumb because it also means software you like to use would be restricted.

But betas/demos aren't BIG surprises. Plus, Portal2 is coming in 5 months, I doubt that is one of the surprises. And if it is, I'll be disappointed.
If I'm not wrong I do believe most valve games had a demo before being released and who pre-ordered it got the demo earlier.
So, why would that be a surprise?

No need for a new OS, just add support for linux and then everyone is happy.
Songbird is a great replacement for itunes. iTunes is a laggy piece of crap tbh.

Well, it'd still be awesome. :saddowns:
Unless I've missed something, the DotA project hasn't been officially announced yet, so that is most likely one surprise.
Ep3 will most likely release around Easter 2012, so that'll be announced within 12 months.
But I don't have any idea on what the last one could be.
I hope it's the Fairy rpg getting launched.:v:
Valve creates a game on Olypmic curling.
Disproving:
HL2EP3 - No, that wouldn't be a surprise, we already know what it is
L4D3 - No, Valve kind of got the hint that releasing new l4d games every year was a bit too fast

I thought i was right too :smith:
