Bump your difficulty down to peaceful or get a bit of wood hen find a nearby cave. mine as much stone and dirt as you can and block most of the entrance.
That will help your first night.

Only, the tnt with arrows would be hidden. You step on the pad, and the tnt drops, then explodes shooting upward, breaking the glass and causing the player to drop into lava.

The only gui I did so far is the health bar and armor.
The health bar is pretty much stolen from B&B, but that's how I was going to make it anyways. The armor was also from B&B, but I revamped it to look like a different armor piece.
