I just had the scariest experience in natural cave formations that I have ever had in Minecraft. I spent a lot of time there and eventually I was lost there. I could not find my way back to the mine. Two creepers (on two separate occasions) managed to creep up on me and explode. I had two hearts and I had run out of arrows.
Eventually I decided to simply dig my way up to get back on the surface. I made it, I chopped a tree down, made a boat and sailed back home, using cartographer as a map.

Right now is the cheapest you're going to get it for a long time. It's half off during the alpha phase, which is coming to an end soon. If you buy it now, it's 10 euros, or roughly $14 USD per copy.

if you like classics, doku's rpg, if you want better graphics that keep the game have its feel and AWESOME customization, take the painterly pack.
for really nice graphics use brown & bloom, but minecraft will lose its style.
