That happened to me, I found a dungeon with torches already in it and the chests were already empty, I thought I might have already been in there except for the fact that I take all mossy cobble and it was still there in this dungeon, also, the dungeon was lit completely and the mob spawner still spawned mobs in it?

Ok my minecraft folder looks like this:

The two mpsave files are from servers. If you dont have one of them after leaving a server then the persistor isnt working.
Trying not to state the obvious but are you actually running the persistor and connecting or using the minecraft launcher?

That's only for people who get an error about memory when trying to run it. It sets java to reserve a constant 1024 MB (1 GB) of ram for itself.

Sure. So, if you're on Windows OR Unix, open up command prompt (or terminal, whichever), and go to the directory where the .jar is located. For example, mine is in C:\mcs.
After that, just copy-paste the line into the command prompt, and it will run without the window opening up, making it easier to type and repaste commands. Also it doesn't use up as much processing power that way.
Does anyone know of any way to avoid getting HUGE memory leaks (and subsequent server disconnects) on Windows XP SP3?
If all I need to do is use a Virtual Machine, that's fine, I'm just wondering. I can't play SMP for very long without getting disconnected. And while Persister helps some, I'd much rather avoid the whole thing in the first place.
