a. they require sun or torchlight, lava does the trick too, but fire doesn't.
b. they need a 5x5x8 space.
c. they need to be planted on grass/dirt.
this is all you need in order to make a tree grow.

Thanks, was looking for the 5x5x8. Any idea what the minimum/maximum time they can take to grow? Also do they ever regrow(the leaves at least)?

They should take roughly 2 minecraft days (about an hour?) to grow, and no, they don't regrow.

No idea how long it has been. I started the journey into a cave early yesterday. Only things I did was widening spots or placing bricks as steps or to stop water flow. I actually climbed up 3 water falls lol.
Torch: 469 (All in the cave/tunnels) :P
Now, these numbers are fucking bullshit.
Gold Ore: 9406
Iron Ore: 84666
Coal Ore: 176767
Diamond Ore: 3788
Redstone: 30745
I keep finding more redstone than iron. Hell at this point I have mind more diamonds than iron.
My lava cave is infested with... CREEPERS! :byodood:
