Can someone with photoshop do me a huge favor?
Can someone stretch terrain.png out so that each individual texture is this size?

That's 64x64 btw.
No problem.

Photoshop has a nearest neighbour texture filter. Looks just like the regular one but bigger.

:aaa:
I didn't know that, that would have came in handy so much when I was making my texture pack.
Is there anything like that for GIMP?

There really should be, it's pretty much standard on anything but MSpaint

Yeah, the problem with most textures is that they don't tile for shit.
I remember a program that looped textures indefinitely so you could fix them accordingly, but that was a long time ago.
High res texture
Good try!
What the fuck. Two small slimes on peaceful. Not even kidding.

Look at the bottom left, near the difficulty option. He's like stuck.. I killed the other accidentally.

Teralogic Texture Maker is a great texture program, where tiling textures should be pretty easy.

slime is the only hostile mob to appear on peaceful, but they only appear as 1x1 which don't attack.
The slime had the collision model of a maximum size one.. I tried to mine the block beside it to free it, and it hit and killed it.

This makes sense.

Small slimes spawn on peaceful since they dont hurt you

It doesn't support .png. :frown:
Slimes spawn on peaceful. They can't really kill you at that size I think.

It does!

Shouldn't be that much of a problem to convert the image to a format TTM32 supports and then convert it back to .png afterwards? :D

Eh, I'll just wait till I can reinstall photoshop again.
Guys, I say we pester notch on twitter to release the packet documentation so we can make more stable servers.
It has been said, and it has been said in bold.
I'm not good at textures, so I guess I'll divulge my plans.
I was playing Wolfenstien 3D the other day, and I noticed that a lot of the textures matched up with Minecraft. I was most excited to make the paintings. that way I could make castles and stuff with paintings in them and whatnot.
So if anyone wants to make this texture pack, go ahead. I couldn't do it right.
Or we can just let notch fix it for us, :downs: Which he will, we are in alpha god damnit
also, that texture from before was just an example, not to be used in my texture pack whatsoever.

Minecraft will crash with that size of texture pack unless you modify core files.
I honestly just refreshed after 20 minutes and thought it was a new page when I didn't see any new posts :saddowns:
Yeah, why is is so slow, usually at this time, we would be going through 3 pages and hour.
Back in like the v20's we would get a bunch load of posts every 5 minutes.
I'm helping.
Does anyone have a public or private server up who'd be willing to let me and my friend join?
no updates = less discussion. Wait for Notch to start updating it as frequently as he used to.

Sure, it's a private server, just apply.
