Basically you build (or in my case, try to build) ships to get into space, and land on the moon, or other planets, or into the sun. You can build space stations and satellites, too.
There's a demo available on Steam if you want to try it out.

Having tried out the demo, I can safely say that I simply don't get it.
The ship construction interface was really inconsistent for me (some pieces snapped right into place, others were stuck off in the corner). There's no way to move pieces in or out aside from moving the camera and inching them along. The tutorials barely explain anything (I didn't even know how to exit the cockpit camera without quitting the scenario and starting over).
It sounds like a really fun game, it looks like a really fun game, but now that I actually play it... [I]ehhh...[/I]
Ah well, that's $13 I can put towards something I'll actually enjoy, at least V:v:V

I'm pretty sure Monaco hasn't gone on sale yet, and unlike NS2 I don't recall if it ever has gone on sale. Fez is cool, but was already a daily deal.

It's fucking genius and amazing. My favorite game this year so far.
Voted for it just because I love it so much.
It's hard to describe it. The game is pretty boring if you play with strangers or with more than 1 friend(because it turns into a killing/reviving shitfest with no stealth whatsoever).
But if you play with one friend it's one of the most fun coop games I've ever played. The levels are so hard and there are so many items and enemies that you really need stealth, teamwork and strategies.
You really feel like you're getting better and better and it's really satisfying to finish a level 100%(it's really not worth it unless you got all the coins) just because of your tactics.
