i've done that in -30c
God damn I hate ArmA. I literally spent five hours the other night trying to install Real Time Editor and never got it to fucking run. Today I spent over ten hours (literally) trying to get the original ArmA Sahrani map in ArmA 2 and never managed to make it happen even though plenty of people have done it and there is a DayZ map for it now. My last option is the complete CAA1 addon but that download takes like two hours and I know for a fact that the people I play with will not want to download it. All I want is the map and the resources for the buildings and signs and stuff. [editline]27th February 2013[/editline] Oh and the 6+ hours I spent trying to understand how triggers work. It's fucking fustrating and I'm the kind of person that sits there for hours straight, no breaks or anything until he figures it out and I still haven't gotten ANYTHING to work in ArmA. I've literally gotten insomnia from fucking with the editor. [editline]27th February 2013[/editline] Oh and the couple hours spent trying to make the Ambient Civilian Module work.
rte is pretty broken / not being worked on so that wouldn't surprise me
i've done that in -30c
We had regular sleeping bags and that's it :| Okay, a small poncho tent for 3 people I had to do 4 hour shift...so fucking boring from 2am to 6am.
So, in the mission editor is there anyway to set a single control point to occupy? I'd like to make like a conquest style game mode
So, in the mission editor is there anyway to set a single control point to occupy? I'd like to make like a conquest style game mode
What do you mean "set a single control point to occupy"? Conquest gamemode should be fairly simple to make.
If I buy Arma 3 on the Arma website, can I still use it via steam? Or how would I play with users that use Steam? Also if I buy it for 25 bucks on the site, will that allow me to get the whole game for that price? Or just the Alpha?
I was wondering to my self if their would just be a 2D editor but then I realised it has to be a 3D editor to make underwater missions

You get the whole game when you preorder.
Considering it's a Steamworks game, you have to register it on Steam.
you can't play the full game until release day, if that's what you mean. [editline]27th February 2013[/editline] fucking automerge
i've done that in -30c
Jagar du eskimåer i lapplandsfjällen? Who else is going to try and get into the arma 3 credits...?
Also this shit costs me 110 $ per month to maintain at the moment so beggar operations will begin shortly (just a small thing on the website showing how much money has been put towards server costs this month) As per Cuel's suggestion I'll also have a small site designated to just telling you if there is an upcoming event or not, and when the event will be in your local timezone. Just like, enter page(it pulls info from steam), it says "YES" and shows you the event or a list of theres more than one, with an option to save your timezone in a cookie so it remembers.
Anyone play Arma with an MMO mouse? I'm looking at the G600 and wondering how many buttons I could configure for Arma on to the mouse itself.
I have a G600. I'll go test it for you.
Chances are I'll have two alpha keys available on 5th of March. If two of you guys want it, let me know. :)
Anyone play Arma with an MMO mouse? I'm looking at the G600 and wondering how many buttons I could configure for Arma on to the mouse itself.
IIRC the G600 uses the standard macro system so if you can bind it to a keyboard macro, you can do it

Except the nice 3D-Editor-esque interface. Also, can someone just add the @CBA_CO keys to the server? Why aren't they added already? Been trying to fix this for the past week.
new OA beta 1.62.102591 , tons of crashes fixed : http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?146963-ARMA-2-OA-beta-build-102591-(1-62-MP-compatible-build-post-1-62-release)
Oh hello there new thread. Also, pre-ordering Arma 3, who's with me?
I was thinking about the digital deluxe edition, but then decided I was going to go for the regular one.
Chances are I'll have two alpha keys available on 5th of March. If two of you guys want it, let me know. :)
If you still have one, i wouldn't mind giving it a shot. I plan on purchasing the game at some point, but it would be nice to try it out first.

All he needs to do is replace @CBA, @CBA_A2 and @CBA_OA with @CBA_CO, or atleast add their keys to the server so people using the beta can connect
should be fixed now just needed to check with sickboy if cba_co was compatible with the older cba's
I don't like the smell of the new thread. [thumb]http://www.armin-gerhardts.de/wp-content/wunderbaum-big.jpg[/thumb]
I think I'll be joining on Friday, if I can get my Arma setup correctly.
Is there a way to automatically disable mods when joining servers that don't have them enabled? Because that was one of the reasons I stopped playing on Profan's server.
use different modlines takes 5 seconds

Or just save a text file with a few launch lines that you use and copy/pasta them into Steam when you want to go.
