Eventually, I couldn't load my game anymore because of the sheer amount of mutants. Even on Rookie difficulty, the fights could take 15-30 minutes on end, due to the ungodly amount of lag I was experiencing during them. Lowering the graphics settings didn't help much either. I'm not exactly sure what caused this. I'm running SGM and was exploiting the 7% intrest, putting a few million on the bank and sleeping for days without starving because of the Oasis artifact. My 'Zone Time' went from 12 days to 2 months without leaving Skadovsk once, during this time, mutants and artifacts kept spawning, and apparently they stack.
