Agree'd.
Well it worked. I just had to reload from an earlier save. Few minutes later I hear the gunfire. I go to Kopatchy. I gain 5000 RU in loot. It is a good day in the Zone for me.
Fantastic. Looks like a patch tonight ladies and gents!

Great, does that patch fix the crash in Yanov I get all the time?
is there a way to turn off this damn mouse smoothing? i cant aim for shit like this.
I never found mouse smoothing to be a problem.

I'm working on it, but I can't figure out what the fuck is going on, but there'll be an attempt at it at least.
Also, Psynexus wrote another STALKER fanfic previously, with 25 chapters! Holy fuck!
Also Thorny, would it be possible to make the weapon "sway"? Well like y'know how the charcter holds the gun perfectly straight like a Call of Duty game? Would it be possible to implement an aiming system similar to games like Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, or Earned in Blood? BIA makes the gun sway in iron sight mode, making it much harder to hit targets especially if they're far in the distance.

Psy does not know what "writer's block" means apparantly.

Also go if you guys are having food shortages in Zaton, go to Yanov. Hawaiian has a butt load of food. Well for me it seems. My Yanov stash is filled to the brim with meatpies, sausages, bacon rashers and canned foods
[editline]02:05PM[/editline]
Found a glitch in Redux. The upgraded FN 2000 that has a silencer is still labeled as "st_wpn_fn2000_silenced."
Guys should I attempt to be manly and play CS without patches or is it impossible? :v:
Just started playing Call of Pripyat.
Blowouts are the coolest things ever. I love to sit and watch them from the cracked window on the third floor of Skadovsk.
I just watched 3 bandits running desperately for cover. They got about half way to Skadovsk and then croaked! I grabbed all their stuff, but it was just some basic bandit loot.
No patches, no suit, no artifacts, bolts only. Final destination.

No, weapon sway is absolutely stupid. An experienced stalker can hold a gun without any sway whatsoever, hell in real life I can and I barely shoot weaponry. That feature is useless and it's an incredible annoyance.
Kinda related to S.T.A.L.K.E.R., I just bought Metro 2033 with the Ranger Pack DLC, enjoying it immensely, they are evidently wildly different games.

Well, I'm sorry.

Some sway when raising the weapon and trying to get the sights aligned would be cool though. Or more like some small swinging of the sights.
Is it that fucking difficult for the STALKER devs to add any kind of tutorial or explanation to the games? I tried playing Shadow of Chernobyl before but gave up after 30 minutes because I didn't have the slightest clue what anything means and was just completely lost and now I'm trying to play Call of Chernobyl and it just lets me go in some random field without explaining anything at all to me. I don't even know what 95% of my HUD means. Are the devs allergic to tutorials or something?

I adore Metro, especially on Ranger Hardcore.

I first played STALKER as a kid and had no trouble picking it up. Your PDA also tells you how stuff works, in SHOC at least.
I bought Shadow of Chernobyl a while ago on steam (Actually it just came with the THQ pack but whatever), i do NOT play scary games, scary for me is creepy supernatural stuff and stuff that jumps out at you in the dark.
So is this game scary or can i actually play it?

It's only scary at night, or in the labs, the labs are pretty short though.
Gave those bastards from Alpha Squad a real good kicking today.
So here I am, checking out Stingray 3, as I'm slowly strolling down the Scar anomaly six PDA contacts pop up on my HUD. Those bastards from Alpha Squad decided it would be fun to attack me at the same spot twice. The diffrence is, with my Tier 1 fully upgraded SSP-99 suit, several high-end artifacts, God-tier supplies & equipment and a heavily modified AN-94 with a special PDA detector, they didn't really posed a larger threat as they did before. Anyhow, I take cover behind some rocks and start picking off the bastarts as their bullets spear all over the place. A couple minutes and a couple medkits later they were all laying in the mud with their bodies full of holes! I quickly loot their shit and realized that they had preety weak equipment: two Chasers, two MP5s, a scoped AN-94 and their leader used an LR-300. So, I decided that it's time to haul ass to Skadovsk before AS's response squad comes here.
I quickly get to the Southern Plateau that's right next to the Skadovsk, hoping that the scum won't search for me here, and guess what.
THE FUCKERS MADE AN AMBUSH
Again, six guys. This time it was a bigger problem since they surrounded me, not that they had anything huge for equipment. After a shorter firefight with the first half of the team I realized that they had preety low-tier weapons: one TOZ-34, one MP5 and their leader used a God damn HPSS-1m. So, here I am, looting the bodies, when those bastards come up to me from the ship's bow and open fire. One of them even ran straight in the springboard that was sitting there. Anyhow, I blow one guy's head off, when I'm just about to finish off the last guy, and then he runs away like a bitch.
Oh well, at least he's spared to tell the others what happens if you fuck with me!
Guys, some freaky shit happened. I was lotting some dead Freedom-er, when all of the sudden he said: " Atleast let me keep my boots".
I shoot him in the head with a shotgun and draged him into an anomaly to be sure after that. He was clearly dead and was a white dod on the map..
:ohdear:
Also, In Stalker 2 Freedom and Duty should have an Alliance that reigns over the zone, keeping order, but also reaserching. They should have some kind of parlament where they vote what to do
:unsmith:
Browsing the internet from a stalker game is so awesome. It's like I'm really surfing the web from the Zone!

Gun sway isn't exactly realistic. A small shake, yes, but sway is not.
