I remember it from ShoC. It gave +600 health bonus for radiation.
Is that mutant wave scripted or is there some SGM option that triggers it? I'm in freeplay now, and I need something to do. A massive wave of mutants would do nicely. Also, one of those screenshots was absolutely hilarious:
Do you know what I hope STALKER 2 has? Multi-core support. I mean I only have 1 core, but for everyone else it seems stupid.

^ :v:
I considered "stalkers gonna stalk" but I thought this was more appropriate, since the controller is, in fact, being hated on. With a gun.

Also, one of those screenshots was absolutely hilarious:
To be completely honest, I don't know. I'll just tell you what happened prior to that wave, and you can see for yourself. A friendly warning though; MAKE SURE YOUR COMPUTER CAN HANDLE IT AND MAKE A SAVE BEFOREHAND! QUICKSAVING DURING THIS MIGHT KILL YOUR GAME WHEN TRYING TO LOAD IT. You have been warned So, in SGM there's this banker stalker or something I don't really care. After making about 300K rubles, I deposited it on the bank, which generated 7% intrest every day. With the Oasis artifact I just slept for days, occasionally collecting the intrest and depositing it again. When I got a few million and 600K intrest each day, I felt that it had been enough. During this time (About 40 in-game days) I did not leave Skadovsk once. I also left SGM's 'Spawn more mutants' option on, so I guess they just kept spawning and stacking. So eventually I had 40 days worth of mutants spawning, leading to this madness. When you go outside and your game freezes for about 30 seconds or more: Congratulations! Your happy hunting mutant wave arrived! Prepare to lag to hell and back! I would not recommend it, but feel free to test it. Happy hunting. PS: Good music to slay mutants to is Mamma Mia by Abba
do not like the lab
Just got the deal pack. Wanted a list of recommended mods for Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat. Conditions: Must be compatible Must have no required foreknowledge of the game, as I haven't played it yet because I want to play it with some upgrade mods/textures/skins/etc.

The Fight
,, GRENADE, GET DOWN! '' was all I heard before a horrible bang echoed near me, filling my ears as if a Blowout had just started. I tried to jump away from the explosion, and the shockwave threw me even further, so when I finally touched the ground it seemed like I laid there for days. I could see my home, my family waiting for me, the sweet smell of breakfast pancakes filling the air around me. How does life change from being with those you love, to fighting and assaulting a group of Freedom anarchists in an old, rotten farm? I missed my life, since this vile survival and everyday test of strenght and mind wasn't was life was about. My mind trip ended early when suddenly someone grabbed me and dragged me up. ,, Wake up, durak! We've got a firefight going on here, and you're sleeping?! '' the Corporal shouted at me as I took cover behind an old food trough. My Dragunov was nowhere to be found, so my Makarov had to subside. Our side had still 5 men remaining, the earlier grenade had taken out two good men - Janus Iiar and Kiril Joptrovich. The first was a simple Estonian boy, attracted here by stories of treasures and adventures, instead he soon got drafted into Duty and now ended his short life in a mud pile, his vital organs all around him. The second man Kiril was a former worker at a tractor factory. Like a true Soviet workhorse he could survive anything and anywhere, and could make and repair anything with wheels. And now he was on top of a hay pile - his legs missing and face forever captured in a pose of endless agony. Simple lifes made into horror stories. Productive people killed off for nothing. Still, it was a Dog eat Dog world here, so I reloaded my trusty, old pistol and moved to the side of my hiding place, peeking out just a little bit, to see where my foes were hiding. Immediately sparks hit my face, as several bullets burried themselves in the metal trough. My teammates fought on, as continuous gunfire filled the large room. However then I heard shouting coming from our Sentry outside, I could barely make out what he was shouting when suddenly the nearby wooden wall was smashed open and a Pseudogiant stepped into the oven, bullets whizzing past it and splinters of wood flying all around it. Confusion filled everyone as noone really knew who to shoot - the enemy or the beast. Instinct took over, however, and soon every man in the building was opening raw fire unto the colossal beast. It shrugged it off like mosquito bites, though, as the Pseudogiant rampaged trough the Freedom lines, ripping men in two and throwing their bodies against the walls and objects with sickening sounds. The Freedom numbers dwindled down to two individuals who ran to us, still shooting at the beast. And like true heroes we mowed them down as they turned their backs to us. Principles remain principles, nothing personal, just the way the Zone works, gents. The huge beast finally collapsed before he reached our line. A call later an Ecologist helicopter was comming to pick up the corpse and we were enjoying a refreshing drink outside, as the rookies checked and looted the bodies of our Freedom counterparts. Photographs, PDA's, Ammo and Food, and Weapons. And I know for sure their Suits make great chairs, must be that extra weed their Blacksmiths smoke when making their armor. God damn fucking hippies.
I highly advise playing it vanilla first. Although I guess a few re-skins and graphical upgrade mods wouldn't hurt.
So put Deltas head on the Dolphin (or vice versa) Besides Thorny, didn't you know Dolphins are just gay sharks?
you mean fucking awesome sharks, right?
I mean that Big Daddy from Bioshock.
Yeah that's Subject Delta from BioShock 2.
Do you know what I hope STALKER 2 has? Multi-core support. I mean I only have 1 core, but for everyone else it seems stupid.
Stalker does have dual-core support since Shadow of Chernobyl's first release.
I can't wait to be a fatass all night and play CoP with the Redux beta.

I hope the draw distance won't be so pathetic and expensive, I want to be able to see the terrain in the distance without also having to render every blade of grass on that distant terrain.
Just bought the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. bundle on Steam for $10. Anything I should know?
I hope the draw distance won't be so pathetic and expensive, I want to be able to see the terrain in the distance without also having to render every blade of grass on that distant terrain.
well you're in luck because the grass distance in STALKER is utter shit
Just bought the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. bundle on Steam for $10. Anything I should know?
Play without mods for the first time, then re-play with the mod of your choice!
well you're in luck because the grass distance in STALKER is utter shit
You know what I mean. Draw distance is easily the most expensive setting save SSAO. Whereas some games handle unlimited draw distances just fine, many on far inferior console hardware - with a more agressive LOD system.
Tried to reach two Loner corpses being eaten by dogs before my computer died. Needless to say I didn't get there in time. My computer froze a good 5 seconds after I said my mission objective to Calkkuna.
1:28 - Paravin.: but I just saw two stalkers get owned by dogs 1:28 - Paravin.: going to check the corpses 1:28 - Paravin.: IF I GET THERE Paravin. is now Offline.
Play without mods for the first time, then re-play with the mod of your choice!
I was thinking of getting L.U.R.K. right off the bat, but ok.
In CoP I find all these guns, yet they are too damaged to sell to the trader, and paying to have them repaired costs more than what the trader pays me for them afterwards. What do I do with the guns of fallen enemies? Just ignore them? and dump the ones I've already packrat'd?
1:28 - Paravin.: but I just saw two stalkers get owned by dogs 1:28 - Paravin.: going to check the corpses 1:28 - Paravin.: IF I GET THERE Paravin. is now Offline.
I went out with a bang.
get a little mini-patch that lets you sell items to traders whatever condition
Is this not being able to sell guns done deliberately by the devs or was it an oversight? Cos if it was done deliberately I think I'll leave it
Looking forward to getting my new pc so I can play this, it's one game I have never played but always wanted too.
*Massive army story*
I love how your rank goes from 1543 to 2976.
Is this not being able to sell guns done deliberately by the devs or was it an oversight? Cos if it was done deliberately I think I'll leave it
It was done on purpose, which makes sense 'cause i mean, what trader would want to buy/sell a broken gun? But i do agree they set it a bit high.
