Well I've reinstalled Clear Sky and I've got got version 1.5.4 (i think) on now so I should be able to load my saved games and play, but I think it will still crash thouigh :(

You have to have a mercenary outfit and a PDA of a merc leader from a custom side quest to get in that base with no crashes.

They're not like normal artifacts in that sense--they're placed in specific spots on the map. However, even with the list of locations, I can't find more than a couple of them.

You wouldn't have to change much more than adding in more things. It would be pretty cool if Stalker had more sanity breaking horror. (Sort of like Penumbra or Silent Hill for example)
Probably should make such kind of events be rather rare and/or exclusive to a location such as an abandoned circus or something like that.

Could always finally put the Birthmark into the game.

Err, how do I become a friend of Freedom? I had already sold Morgan's PDA to that dick Owl a long time ago before I knew I could do anything else with it. I had freedom guard the scientists bunker and told the freedom leader about Flint already, what else can I do before I leave for Pripyat (I want to bring strider, even if he is a tad useless with the SVU).

Get all four, you're rewarded for assembling a full team. Also, do you have the Svarog detector yet? If so, there's something else you can do do make freedom like you.
