S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread: If nobody will make it I will - Games

Why does Braz say to play in static lighting only?, is there something that doesn't work well or is there a way for you to be able to play it with dynamic? And when i install AtmosFear on top of SGM or SGM+Braz when i start a new game it breaks the starting mission thing, like there is no guy that walks up to you and gives you the item you have to take to the boat, is there a fix for this?

Would people please stop saying you can't join factions in SoC vanilla? You can join freedom! I've tried it, and if you follow the instructions, you CAN join freedom. Doesn't work for Duty though.

Hey guys posting again, but this time asking about user.ltx files... i knew when SHoC came out there were a lot of people doing tweaks and performance things to not only improve graphics but FPS/Playability as well and i was wondering if anybody has a config they can post up that will work good with my computer setup! I am currently trying to get SGM+Braz, AtmosFear and Absolute texture packs working together but i am having troubles and i would like an answer to my post above about the starting mission not working with it, I have recently returned to stalker and i want the best options with CoP that i can get and with your guys help i can achieve that, because as it sits right now i can't even play the game, it works but after awhile of walking around stuttering and what not the game just crashes to desktop, which is why i need help i think the game is pushing my computer to hard. My Specs. DualCore AMD Athlon 64 X2 Black Edition, 3200 MHz (16 x 200) 6400+ 3328 MB (DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM) - I have 4GB of ram but everest reads it as this! EVGA NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT SuperClocked

I'm actually more of a monolith guy myself, they keep it cool with daily meditation sessions. But pistol gripping assault rifles is a pretty sweet feature too.

X18 is scary Random boxes [editline]05:57PM[/editline] Are those F1 buttons a mod? or are they in the other 2 games

Only CoP has the F keys as shortcuts.

Well that sucks. Would make it much easier to play

How can I use the F keys if my hand is on the arrow keys! Silly GSC.

Why is the red ball in X18 so hard to kill. It takes so long

When it crashes it copys a crashlog which you can then paste here. Chances are it's one of the common glitches Redux has so go ahead and paste the next one here.

I wonder if getting the stalker games is worth it.. is it?

They're relaticely cheap, give a great atmospheric experience, better combat than the standard fps and a heap of great mods to enhance replayability. Yeah I'd say it's worth it.

Ah that one, didn't see the edit. It's a known glitch with Redux and isn't really game breaking aside from the occasional crashes. There's nothing you are doing wrong, just wait for Thorny to fix it.

Ah well it basically makes it unplayable for me because it happens frequently, hmmm i guess it is back to SGM/Braz or something, hmmm i just wish i could get everything set up good though because i have also had problems with them and AtmosFear causing the starting mission to not work (the guy walking up to you)... it is pretty complicated merging mods.
