Downloading SoC now, going to gift my extra copy of CoP to an RL friend. I've heard good things about SoC. Now, I've started to get bored of Vanilla CoP, are any stable mods that add new weapons, artifacts, skins, etc. that you guys recommend?
If you have to use static lighting why use complete? It's graphical improvements are in the enhanced dynamic modes. Heck last I heard it had glitches in static mode. Also complete has freeplay, no? you could dick around in that.
I use static lighting because it's the only thing that gives me decent frame rates (I have a 9500GT) and some fo the features and textures of complete look amazing, so I couldn't resist. It doesn't really glitch in static mode either. I've never had any problems playing it.
I killed my first Bloodsucker today, not as scary as I thought it'd be.
I killed my first Bloodsucker today, not as scary as I thought it'd be.
Did he put up a good fight?
Spetsnaz are tough. I emptied an entire MP5 magazine into a guy's head before he died.
Spentsnaz strong, like bear made of kalashnikov. Is true Soviet.
I love playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl even though my computer is low quality so I get around 15 FPS with the lowest settings.
Hey guys, is Shadow of Chernobyl still worth playing even after I beat it? I never beat the vanilla, I beat COMPLETE. I had Call of Pripyat but I'm waiting for COMPLETE to come because it's harder to play on static lighting in CoP than SoC.
The game is work beating a hundred times. You don't even need to beat it, freeplay and doing missions with mods are enough to keep me going for a hundred hours at least.
What do you guys recommend, Sigerous or PRIPYATAN?
I've only played SGM, but given the sheer amount of content SGM adds, I wouldn't recommend PRIPYATAN over it unless you haven't gotten tired of the main storyline yet. I put 30 hours into SGM easily.
I've probably beat SoC around 30 times since it was released. I'm actually starting to get bored of it now.
Spetsnaz are tough. I emptied an entire MP5 magazine into a guy's head before he died.
What sick man uses MP5 when Spetsnaz attack you?
I've probably beat SoC around 30 times since it was released. I'm actually starting to get bored of it now.
I know how you feel. I was psyched for LURK 1.1, but by the time I got to the Scorcher mission, I felt like it wasn't worth it to keep going. As many times as I've hated on OL, it at least adds stuff like blowouts and zombies and other things that break up the usual progression of missions.
I got bored of LURK 1.1 before I even did the first lab. :v:
I don't think that storywise it should have random blowouts in SHOC. Because nobody is at the center of the zone. In Call of Pripyat it would be because [sp]Strelok destroyed C-Con and without them the zone becomes unstable[/sp]
Hey guys, I've got a problem. I keep trying to dl LURK mod for SHOC and when I go to extract it I keep getting "cannot find file path specified" error messages. Anyone else have or had this problem?
1. Are you saving the archive or just telling your browser to open it? Because if you do that, it goes in the browser's temp files and is deleted when you close the browser. 2. Where are you trying to extract to?
Wait for redux and get Atmosfear 2.1
Redux has AtmosFear 2.1 as an integrated option :)
Redux has AtmosFear 2.1 as an integrated option :)
Redux is going to have the variation mod right? Will you be adding more onto it or just use what it has already?
1. Are you saving the archive or just telling your browser to open it? And I'm trying to extract it to the game's folder, as in: C:\Program Files\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl
I'm saving it. And I'm trying to extract it to the game's folder, as in: C:\Program Files\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl
If you're using winRAR, just open the game folder and try dragging+dropping the 'gamedata' folder in there.
Redux is going to have the variation mod right? Will you be adding more onto it or just use what it has already?
It includes Darkenekos's Variation Mod yes, which has hundreds of new models - I've not added any more that that :)
I've probably beat SoC around 30 times since it was released. I'm actually starting to get bored of it now.
Same, but don't tell no one otherwise they'll string us up!
Is Redux going to have any indicator on what fire mode you're on?

It's not change for the sake of change and because of that, it doesn't have a lot of appeal for people who have played SOC a lot already. I think that's the major reason why I couldn't maintain interest in development.
428 posts in two days ehhh With this speed, less than 20 days till new thread

I opened the lid to my computer, set the fan to 100% and added a household fan to the mix on cold settings. Dunno if it'll work.
So, if you're done with LURK, will you be working on something for CoP like you said?
I don't think so.
Got the game yesterday :D its awesome but a little bit to scary.
