S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread: If nobody will make it I will - Games

Most of the longer running megathreads are. Like the Minecraft threads.

Well most people still discuss this game. About mods and gameplay, but sometimes it's filled with shit and bloodfuckers. Take some vodka and a loaf of bread and relax.

Just bought this on the 10$ weekend deal, what should I expect?

Quicksaving, blind dogs, medkits, bandits, and getting out of here.

Hey, where can I find the screensshots for these games? I found the Main folder, but I don't see my screenshots. Halp please. Eh, or I could just use Wegame's screenshots. :buddy:

Got S.T.A.L.K.E.R. as part of the weekend sale, and installed Oblivion Lost today. Fucking cats and dogs everywhere, man. And I wasn't expecting a [sp]fucking psychic pseudodog in cordon[/sp]! Izloms (sp?) Are also a pain in the ass. I heard some moaning after I got into garbage, and thought it was a Bandit who wasn't quite dead yet. I turn around just in time to see this googly-ass motherfucker with a long-ass arm and a dickneck coming at me. Not fun. Also, just got to the Bar as a Blowout was starting. Naturally, I run for cover. Thinking I'm safe in a warehouse, I take the time to bandage my open wounds from the dog pack I ran into. Shit's going all red and funky and explosions and screaming are tearing up the Zone, and what do I hear? "Get out of here, [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6ffYNIwfqc&feature=search]Stalker.[/url]" This game is growing on me. I want to finish Shadow of Chernobyl before I start Call of Pripyat.

Oblivion Lost was recommended to me as I was told it makes the whole Zone more dynamic. Dynamic's one word, but it sucks when all the NPCs I'm friendly with inevitably die. :sigh: For instance, the wounded guy outside of the rookie village was dead before I even reached him. A cat was eating his face.

I'm guessing this Steam sale is going to bring a few new faces to the fanbase.

I wish I could have bought the Steam bundle, but I already on SoC and I doubt my computer could run CoP. I just barely made it through SoC with the terrible framerate I got.

Jobby gifted me the STALKER pack and I am still waiting for SoC to finish downloading. Why on earth would it make CoP download first out of the two.

Not gonna be able to get the Asus I'm looking at until next year. I can barely run [i]CS:S[/i]. Well I'm exploring this boat and I find an artifact. Tuna says he needs it for his brother, and since I'm usually a nice guy, I give it to him. Well I follow him and then I realise he is heading to the major boat city. Well he sells it, I yell at him, and he gives me $1000. Well im still mad, so I follow him outside and shoot him 20 times in the head with a pistol (He died when I shot him 5 times, but the other 15 were because he had no cash on him from the sale.)

If I'm looking to kill just one guy on an assassination mission or something, I generally just use my knife. Only if the target isn't initially hostile. EDIT: And in SoC, I don't know who I'm going to side with. Freedom or Duty? Freedom seem like cool guys but Duty look like they have better hardware.
