Not realistic but the backstory would be something like it was an early OICW prototype and has all the tech to help with grenades and shit.

Just started using SPM, the amount of guns its adds is crazy.
I had myself in a bad place with my last quicksave. Emission soon and the only cover is locked up and full of enemies. I'm going back to the last mission I completed. Which is looking at helicopter 3 I guess.

That's why I'm an Anabiotics whore. Raid the tunnel after the bloodsuckers lair and take out the Controller and you have yourself a supply of Anabiotics that will do you until you get Marked by the Zone. Then you never have to worry about emissions again.

Well use a medkit then. Just get to a quiet spot, use a medkit to get full health and enjoy the light show.

I was running from some Mercs near the sawmill and used Anabiotics. When I woke up they were still alive and had lived through the emission unharmed. I was also fighting the Exo Bandit who while I was hiding in a shed, managed to survive without a problem. Why is it that enemies are seemingly immune to emissions?

CS has that odd disappearing bug, and CoP only has a few hiding spots on each map, so if enemies weren't immune to blowouts they would die by the dozen from not being able to get to cover. I guess you can imagine that all those buildings and stuff are actually cover, and that's where NPCs go to hide.
I once saw 12 bandits walking out before an emission in Jupiter I goto Yanov when I come back I see 10 bodies 1 guys on the ground 1 walking around They die and I find 1 bandits with 6 L85s 2 AKMs 3 Shotguns 10 pistols whole lotta other stuff

But I did notice that when I used anabiotics, everyone around me was standing in the same place they were before the emission. It's inconsistent I guess.

I always get an emission after I have cleaned out an enemy base whether it be zombies or mercs. There is also always a Dutyer or Loner who comes along looking for shelter and gets distracted by the shiny stuff and ends up dying 3 meters from safety because he needed 4 MP5s so badly.
6 L85s 3 PMm 3 Berretas 1 Kite 3 P99 2 Spas 1 Emlinator 3 AK-74us 1 AKM 1 bandit and he barley had ammo
Decided to play SGM, I made it to Strider with Duty and Stider immediatly shot them all down :<
