Clear sky for me was the most enjoyable and replayable stalker game, even in vanilla. It had such great atmosphere, especially in the swamps and during storms.

I have completely lost interest in STALKER after SC2. I think it may last a while. :saddowns:

Thankfully Strider didn't shoot Duty in the face this time around :V

Clear sky also happens to be the only game with good voice acting, sans the freedomers. we don't speak about them.
:frog:
What?
I hope next Stalker will be called Stalker: Title not 2
Clear sky also happens to be the only game with good voice acting, sans the freedomers. we don't speak about them.
Am I the only one that loves the voice acting? My favorites are Uncle Yar and Hawaiian. "HEY BROOOOOOOOOO" "It can be fun around heeeere?!"

Same goes for Metro 2033. Unless you can understand russian (I can't), then everyone probably just sounds normal.

All the Russian VOs have deeper/rougher, manlier voices. Fits better.
I just remembered I made a thread on this video before, needs to be seen so im gonna post it here

Just installed SHoC again to play it vanilla. So I was going down for some artefact hunting(don't know the english names, but in general I made like 10k profit), when I noticed some growling. I looked around, nothing. I went on, when out of a sudden a boar was attacking me from behind. Now if that wouldn't be enough, on my way back to Cordon I heard a boar dying in an anormaly. :ohdear: I wonder what I'll do when bloodsuckers appear the first time... :smith: Also, the freedomers in Clear Sky are pretty much stoned every day, no wonder their speaking sounds funny. :buddy:
Was it you in the thread too? I mean in /v/. I assume it was you who posted the compass.
Yes

How can I get better performance with full/object dynamic lighting in Shadow of Chernobyl/Call of Pripyat without making it look bad? I mostly use Static Lighting. Does Sun Lighting effect it very much?

Steal a better PC. [editline]11:43AM[/editline] It's not stealing if the owner is dead. :eng101:
What are your specs?
Basics at Vista OS (Home Basic) 2.00 GB of RAM NVIDIA GEFORCE 9500 GT 2.56 GHz (Dual Core)

Goddamnit i just shat myself. I was playing on Master and when i go around a corner in Jupiter, a fucking merc stands there "oh hai" and boom. One shot from a shotgun, dead. I seriously, jumped. EDIT: I found a rookie in Omegle: Stranger: We have to go north. You: are the mexicans invading? Stranger: The Monolith calls me You: oh well fuck that Stranger: I know it calls for you too. You: Very well, stalker.
How can I get better performance with full/object dynamic lighting in Shadow of Chernobyl/Call of Pripyat without making it look bad? I mostly use Static Lighting.
Just follow the guide over at tweakguides.com. It's a bit of a hassle, but totally worth it. I can play it with object dynamic lighting and almost anything up to high(well, without the things which don't work, like AF or AA(forced via graphics driver though)) and it runs at ~30fps. Though I'd consider my specs low end: CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ RAM: 2GB GPU: GeForce 8600GT 256MB
