S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread: If nobody will make it I will - Games

Saw the Steam sale, and I was like "Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-" because I had already bought Shadow of Chernobyl, and so getting it again would've been useless. Then I realized I didn't have Call of Pripyat, and it's ten dollars for both games, even though usually it'd be $20 for CoP. So I bought the pack, and still saved $10. God damn I love Steam sales.

Just killed my first bloodsucker. Could hear the asshole for a while, just didn't see him until he was on me.

I've got a strange respect for bloodsuckers. Dogs and boars are weak, Snorks and Controllers aren't a hassle for me, Chimera and Burers are annoyingly difficult but Bloodsuckers are common, semi-difficult, actually scary and do not give you a feeling of frustration when they kill you. No matter how much I hate them, I would still prefer to fight Bloodsuckers over anything else.

Why is Degtyarev's Faction listed as U.S.S. Agent? He's not exactly broadcasting that he's Spetsnaz in game so does he expect people to not check his factional status?

Speaking of fucking stupid, why the hell did SGM remove everything I've had after I've completed the game and chose freeplay? All my medkits, money, ammo, upgraded rifle that I spent thousands of rubles on. And left me with a shitty rookie sub machine gun and a silenced Makarov up against 20 Monolithians to fend off without any cover. [editline]06:24AM[/editline] Also M14 is a rifle of the gods.

While bloodsuckers are on the other side of the spectrum, they sneeek up on their victims and when they least expect it, they strike. Oh and by the way BS's are only scary in SoC.[/QUOTE] Last couple of Pseudogiants I faced were outsmarted by walking backwards or jumping onto a small pile of rocks. They're not really the kind of annoying that Burers are but it's still a matter of dumping several thousand rounds into them. Bloodsuckers in CoP aren't bad. Aside from the occasional one which doesn't seem to know how to run in a straight line, the reeds in Zaton or pretty much anywhere at night is fairly scary.

Played the Redux beta tonight, remembered how fucking incredible CoP with Redux is.

SGM mod crashes my game when I try to load my save. Nvm, Had to start new game.

Yeah, as if trying to get back to the Laundry while hundreds (LITERALLY) of zombies converge on my position wasn't bad enough. Needless to say, I disabled that shit. And yes, the M14 is the best rifle if you have the manual for it. One shot anything.

I run the game once and after I exit and want to play again I can't. It keeps crashing. Would this be because I'm on win7 ?
