S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread: If nobody will make it I will - Games

I can't even get stalker to open, I'am sad.

I cannot load my saves in CoP, I am sad.

I die constantly, I'm sad.

Here's a story of one of my early SoC experiences. I had just left the bar area for Agroprom, with the intent of picking up an Obokan from the dead Spetsnaz. When I got their, the place seemed empty. It was close to midnight. Going into the yard where the Spetsnaz had apeared, I went over to the nearest body and picked up his AR to see its condition. Then I heard the Bloodsuckers. Two of them were rushing straight at me, partially cloaked, and ready to disembowel me. Needless to say, I shat myself and emptied several AK-74 magazines into their bodies, even after they had died. I spent the rest of the night on top of a stack of concrete wall sections, shooting into the darkness at random.

Those lines are Russian comments that your PC can't decipher. Basically they're left by the devs to tell themselves what each thing does, and are usually preceded by a ';' or '--' to tell the game not to run that line as a command. You don't really have to worry about those. [editline]05:30PM[/editline] Also, the Redux Base installer is pretty much done. Now comes the installer for Full, which is a lot more hassle.

I know I'm prolly late by now but I just found out SGM 1.7 is out. Is there a translation for it yet?

Our group can sense that we have reached Pripyat, with only a ladder to the surface remaining. The party exchange glances at each other with both excitement and fear in their eyes. "You first Alexander, you did find the route after all." I nod, and turn to look up the ladder shaft. What wonders will Pripyat yield? All the artefacts we could ever need? Some sort of new anomaly which has properties which can better mankind? Or could the rumours be wrong, with Pripyat completely unexplorable, or worse.. Well I will never know if I don't climb this ladder, I thought. I place my hand on the cold metal rung and begin my ascent. As I climb the sounds of the tunnels below fade away. I couldn't help but climb faster and faster, the prospect of being the first to make some sort of amazing discovery pulling me like a Vortex anomaly. I can hear the rush of wind as the grate separating me from Pripyat gets nearer and nearer, only 3, 2, 1 more rungs until I can reach it... xRay Engine 1.6 has stopped responding and needs to close. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

What do I do? I've tried talking to the guy that gave me the mission and I didn't see a "give me more" option, I think I went through his whole convo tree.

Wow, fuck the sgm bosses. i spent up 200 rounds of ammunition on one, then knifed him for about 30 seconds straight, [i]as he was being attacked by fucking dogs and fleshes[/i], and after he finishes off the dogs and fleshes he headshots me in one hit. Is there a way to disable this?
