Don't know if anyone here can answer this, but I got a few questions: A while ago my dad bought me the Russian version of STALKER while in Russia, but I live in the US so the text during installation is all gibberish. I've started installing it, but just wanted to know if anyone here has the same edition and knows if you can change languages or not (I'm Russian but I read it really slowly since I left there at age 4, and the text might be gibberish after all). Or I could try downloading the worldwide version (not warez because I already own the game which makes a download of it a backup), don't know if my CD-key would work with that though.

The CD-key doesn't actually matter, it's only used for multiplayer.

Ok, I wanna figure out how I should optomize my inventory. I can either carry an AKM 74/2 with its own ammo type, or a Viper 5 9x18 which uses my pistol ammo type, which I have more of. If I use the Viper, I can get rid of my assult rifle ammo to gain some more inventory room, but I'm sacrificing accuracy and damage. Any ideas?

Hey guys, how do I turn off landmines in SGM? I looked around and found out that there is supposedly some extra game options menu, but I can't find it, anyone care to point me in the right direction?

When you go to the menu while playing the game, you'll see SGM options. It doesn't show in the main menu.

So I was going to fight the mercs at the shit factory, I got my shot all lined up at the lead merc, AND FUCKING ALPHA SQUAD POPS UP. I'm getting my ass kicked from front and back. I try to turn off alpha squad but they won't fucking go away. I guess they're here to stay to annoy the shit out of me.

Alpha Squad is great. I'm sometimes given a quest to fight powerful mutants and then they pop out right in the middle of the carnage. It's fun.
