So I'm on this mission on SGM where I have to find this guys personalized weapon, [sp]Now I'm at the Cement Factory and found this dead monolith soldier, now where the hell is the weapon?[/sp]
Goddamnit ModDB >_>
-Snip, damn new rules-.
Anyone feel like helping me? :ghost:
It isn't helping that there's an alpha squad just outside waiting for me..

And you can't upload it anywhere else?
I can.
Oh Fu-, died in a fire and I havent saved for AGES... Those damn bolts doesnt trigger the fire- or it might be my aim that sucks...
Nah, burners seem to have gotten tricker in CoP. Seems like you have to aim at the VERY bottom of the anomaly.
I've noticed that sometimes the bolts aren't thrown.
I silently climb the stairs to reach the first floor of the Old Service Centre, the old Stalker's warning of the Burer that lurks there looping in my head.
At first all is quiet, I see or hear no sign of the mutant dwarf. I slowly tip-toe down the hall to a doorway, and stop outside. It would be best if I could surprise the beast, and use the door as cover from its psychic attacks.
Plod. Plod. Plod. Footsteps from the room! It must have heard me, and is coming to fuck my shit. I'm paralysed with fear, and there's no cover to use to fight it in the hall.
Plod. Plod. Plod. It must be nearing the door now. I need to think fast, find a way to beat it. I could just run and hide, or throw in a grenade to try and stun it. Anything to stop it going through that door.
Plod. Plod. Plod. Right, that's it. If I'm going to beat it to the door I need to strike now. Wincing with fear I stride up to the doorway, swing my shooter round and fire a burst of laughter at the sight of a Burer aimlessly walking into a shelf in the middle of the room.
plod
plod plod. plod.

That was clever.
I can.
Do it.
I always liked climbing. It made me remember the times I was back at home, climbing the tall pines and oaks. Now, I was climbing a huge, anomalous vine seeping poisonous fluids in Pripyat. It was much different, but not impossible.
Normally my hands would've slipped, as my hands were already soaked of the toxic liquids. Luckily, I heard about this and asked Yar to put spikes on my glove's fingertips. At least this gave me a better hold. The anomaly seems to go down the other vine. Just a couple more meters and I can get to the room. This damn better be worth the reward, I am never doing anything like this again.
Flash. My hands ache terribly and I see the acidic anomaly sweeping over me. It was a few meters away, but the mere radiation from it was enough to burn my hands. I almost lose my grip, hanging with one hand and 2 feet.
I miscalculated. It seems it goes 2 times around a vine, then switches. Damnit, I knew I should've observed the anomaly's patterns longer.
I see the anomaly bashes into the concrete wall and turns around, coming at me again. I have only one chance if I want to ever keep my hands. I let go with the other hand.
Flash. The anomaly goes by, and thankfully, my suit has protected my legs. This suit cost me a dearful, but it was totally worth it. I try to wash any toxic off my hands, grab the vine again and drag myself to the balcony just as the anomaly turns to my direction once more.
I run inside as the flying ball crashes in the wall of the building once more, eating it away slowly. I look inside, take the notes and vodka for myself. I cannot find the radio. What was the old man thinking, anyways?
Who cares, maybe someone was here before me. There is no machine gun as he promised. Fuck it, maybe he was lying. In any case, he is going to pay me, whether he wants it or not. I tie rope around the balcony's rail and try to carefully slide down. The acid burns scream of pain, but i need to get back to the camp as fast as I can, otherwise I might end up losing my life.¨
Boom. The sky starts changing colour. Not now. Please. Of all times, now it had to start? I think of the options I have as i'm going down the rope. Could I try to see if I'd find shelter from the apartments? No, there might be mutants there, and I am in no fighting condition. But if I try to run to the stalker camp, the blowout might get me first. Well, at any rate, it's dangerous.
I land my feet on the ground and quickly glance at my hands. Actually, the gloves protected them mostly. Some spots indicate acid burned through, but I went too fast with the rope. The inside is completely burned off, and I have blisters on my hands. After that, I check my backpack is closed, and start running. I better damn hope no mutants try to cut me off this time.
My first time writing a story. How was it, stalkers?

That's like one of the basis of the English language.

Well, pardon.
Not my native :derp:
And pretty much learned everything i know from the internet.
Well, anyway, try to ignore the apparent typos and read it.
Edit:
Fixed.
Just played the first 30 minutes of People Soup.
I can sum it up in five sentences.
Ear rape.
No ammo.
Really bad drug trip.
Miniguns everywhere.
Weird-ass anomalies.

If by Monolith soldier, you mean the one in Kopachi, then you should find the Vintorez underneath the large tower in front of the factory.
Also, Zulu's so weak. I was in Pripyat Underpass, opened up a door and milled down the Snorks with my Eliminator as they run by. One goes past me, hits him twice, and he drops dead. :v:
Ok, so it's 6AM in Brisbane, where the lead-admin of ModDB lives, and he's the guy that puts stuff on the front page when they're released, apparently.
Maybe in the next few hours it will all happen... :(

How does he go through a full day of work without checking submissions?
Goddamn, maybe tommorow. :c
I still don't see the point in authorizations of ModDB.
