S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread: If nobody will make it I will - Games

God, Redux has hated me from the moment I clicked download. I had to download twice, due to some error, took my half an hour to install because I wanted me to delete my nonexistent game data folder, and when I finally started it up, I spawned with no ammo, and all of my equipment was broken. I had no money to fix them, so I went zombie hunting to find some new gear. After getting my ass handed to my several times due to a zombie with an RPG, I get chased into a house where I stood on top of a desk for 2 hours while dogs swarmed beneath me. When I finally manged to reach the base, I got shot by a bandit because I couldn't see which side he was on. :mad: I think I'll wait for complete.

Thorny, I fucking love you. THANK YOU SO MUCH for making the shotguns better. Fucking love you man. Also Spas' iron sight is perfect now :allears:

Loving Redux, but damn is it kicking my ass.

I would love to play Redux but unfortunately I won't be able to for a few weeks. Guess I'll be playing it later than everyone else just like every other mod.

Good mod, but I can't even play it without crashing constantly. It still needs work.

If you don't care about your reputation you could just kill a bunch of people (bandits) and take all they have.

I was greeted by this when I stepped out of the scientist bunker in Jupiter earlier. This game still surprises me. Damn mod came out of nowhere and stole my heart. @JoeSibilant: Yeah SGM is on my list as well, haven't gotten to it yet. The HUD seems fine to me, gives me only the info I need/want. Maybe it doesn't add as much as the other mods but it adds enough to keep me interested. It's got some issues but I really like the feel of the mod, the tenseness, difficulty. I'm sure other mods add the same, this is just the mod I got to first.

Is it really that good? The HUD looks awful, and it doesn't seem to add much, unlike SGM.

So here I am sitting in the Skadovsk, a small meal and a good shooter with me. Redux really makes you the games bitch. Waiting for midnight, so I can betray some bandit fuckers and loot the fuck out of them.

I think i'm the only one not getting any error's with redux. I like the feel of it, make's it more real to me. Like seeing all the different thing's stalker's drop.

The random weapon system actually makes the game easier.
