Why is it that every time Marked One in SoC loses consciousness/daydreams, he has to do an impossible amount of nauseating flips in and out of the dream? Is it a bug or can Marked One just get mad air in his sleep?

That's the point - items are scarce. Like seriously now I have to actually run around looking for food from traders or other stalkers or I even have to kill other stalkers just hoping to find food.
I have to say though the economy could be tweaked just a little bit. It still seems real easy to make money.
My internet was gone for a few days and I come back to see 890 posts. Dayumn.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, i'm just saying that the economy could be poorer. I'm only as far as the quest where you meet with the stalkers at the ranger station to eavesdrop on the deal and I've already got about 18K on me.
I have now gotten further into it, still haven't completed a mission beyond returning the semi artifact from the barge and I am really enjoying it. Every time I walk long distances from the Skadovsk I constantly check over my shoulder just in case any mutant is trying to sneak up on me. And it's pretty damn eerie when there's fog and you sit on top of the Skadovsk, seeing random muzzle flashes light up the fog to almost instantly die down. Only problem I have with the mod so far is that bandits and STALKERs drop pretty advanced weapons, like the FN2000. :sax:

Aren't they like 80K? I haven't checked since I installed the mod.
It would be pointless anyway since there is no suit upgrading for now. That would mean I couldn't sprint :(
I honestly think the original economy in CoP was pretty good, tough as shit to find weapons in good condition and you got hardly anything if you had to get Cardan drunk first and get your shit repaired. But selling medical supplies pretty much made you a millionaire quick.

I found a stash of 5 bottles of Vodka in a car. Downed them all at once and was drunk off my ass all the way to The Bar.
I love the drunk feeling in this game. One day I'm going to buy a bunch of Vodka, down it all, then attempt to clear out an entire bandit camp, then drink whatever else I find in celebration.
Tis awesome.

Honestly, I've never seen any problems with enemy health. You really, really need to aim for the head or it's just not going to work.

I don't like that. STALKER probably just isn't for me then. I wouldn't mind if the guns weren't so ungodly inaccurate past 10-15 meters.

The ballistics in vanilla ShOC and CS are pretty bad. Try AMK or something if you don't like vanilla.
I was playing CoP, when I noticed that I hadn't touched the video settings at all, and I wasn't playing with everything maxed. So, I slid all the sliders to the right and it told me to restart for the changes.
Now whenever I try to start CoP, I just get a black screen and nothing happens.
Is there a way to change the video settings without having to start the game up?

Or you could just delete it. It'll make a new one and reset your video settings.
I've got a bit of a problem. I'm doing the mission with Nimble to return the lost Mac-10, and it spawned on top of the Ranger Station. I can't get up there (as far as I know). :ohdear: I spent ages shooting it with my M82 as well as chucking grenades at it, to no success. Is there any thing I can do? I would just move onto the next "Retrieve the Lost Weapon" mission, that is, if it was possible to decline the mission. :v:

Uhm, I installed AMK mod and now whenever I click "how will I find the artefact" or whatever it is is the third conversation choice after starting a new game it just closes without error.

Why is it that I turned off Alpha Squad but they keep coming back? It's getting really frustrating since they won't fuck off.
