hey guys is there any mods that replace marked one with squeefu from lucky star!!!! thanks!!!!!! ^_^ also replace tv screens with delicous animu???? <MUST INCLUDE SOUNDPACK LOL>
Wtf does that even mean? Squeefu?!!
Hey, madcat, where can I get a knife in PRIPYATAN? I didn't start with one...
on redux: besides the much appreciated graphical improvements, it just feels like a difficulty modifier where your stats are lowered and your enemies raised just for the sake of being broken and now that I have stable income and survivable gear there really is no validity to call it "realism" though, gunfights are fun it's just a painful nuisance to deal with demi-god mutants (:argh: dogs). i guess i plan on progressing more to see if the product delivers..
SGM is a truly amazing mod, and combined with atmosfear it makes call of pripyat the most enjoyable stalker game yet
Hey, madcat, where can I get a knife in PRIPYATAN? I didn't start with one...
I honestly have no idea. I don't even know where to get the binoculars
I honestly have no idea. I don't even know where to get the binoculars
You can get both from Beard, he will have them eventually. Just wait, or play dirty and quick-load until he gets them.
Yeah, I'm liking PRIPYATAN so far. It's hard as balls though-you start out with almost nothing, and there are mutants everywhere. To make things worse, EVERY MUTANT is radioactive. Getting irradiated because a tushkano ran by isn't fun. I did find a silenced makarov though. It's gotten me out of so many scrapes that I think it's lucky :3:
I :h: Sasha She's mai waifu
Sasha is a name for both genders :geno:

I've started redux again for the fifth time and I'm still starving to death and running out of ammo, often at the same time.

Not sure if they are still in Redux but there's a fair few ways to get food. Most stalkers you can talk to you can trade with and most of the time they have some kind of food on them. If you aren't already, buy as much food as you can from Beard whenever he has it. Whenever you hear gunshots, run towards them and loot the dead guys corpses. If they have already been looted, shoot the guy who looted them, he will have everything still on him. Pistol ammo is a lot more common than rifle ammo so for minor engagements, use a 9x18 instead of your primary weapon. Loot EVERYTHING from corpses and if you don't need it, sell it.
I remember when I was testing the beta I had a bug that made me stay in critical hunger. I murdered so many stalkers for a half roll of bread :frown:
Try not to drink too much Vodka as it increases your hunger. When possible, make use of the Skadovsk medic as he doesn't charge for his services. Be a scab and steal everything from around the Skadovsk and sell it to Owl. You will need to get atrifacts frequently so use the bolt to find clear paths as much as possible to decrease medkit use. Use the Binoculars a lot to spot enemies from a distance and if possible, avoid them. Feel free to follow some bandits around and shoot them in the back when you get the chance, if you do it well then you should get more stuff than you used and no-one will care because they were bandits. Pick up dropped weapons and unload them to improve ammo supplies and make sure you always unload them before selling. [editline]06:52PM[/editline] Dammit, I was writing tips.
Morning guys
I remember when I was testing the beta I had a bug that made me stay in critical hunger. I murdered so many stalkers for a half roll of bread :frown:
Yeah that used to happen until I had a good sum of money, and bought food.
But isn't bread and sausage cheap?
But isn't bread and sausage cheap?
Not if you don't have money
Speaking of hunger, Once I went downstairs to eat dinner, during the intro cutscene. When I came back upstairs, I was dead on the ground. I starved to death.
80RU is like $2USD, can't you just trade a shitty old ak for a piece of bread?
Speaking of hunger, Once I went downstairs to eat dinner, during the intro cutscene. When I came back upstairs, I was dead on the ground. I starved to death.
Ironic
Redux isn't hard to get cash in. Go to Sawmill (or anywhere after an emission), and loot zombies for guns, take to Cardan and repair them if necessary, sell for massive profit. Repairing is really cheap for everything, so it isn't hard to make a living running guns. Food however, is difficult to find in stock at Beard and stuff, although maybe quick-load to restock works, haven't tried.
80RU is like $2USD, can't you just trade a shitty old ak for a piece of bread?
So that means that in Redux Degtyarev got dropped in the Zone with $2.5USD? I think that the USS is expecting too much of him.
$2606USD. Still a fair bit of a suit of armour.
Isn't it like, $20,000USD in SoC?
No, it's 80,000 in CoP from Nimble and 200,000 in SoC from barkeep. 200,000 is still only about $6k.
That's... Very cheap for such advanced machinery.
They probably made it for only like 1,000 and then sold it for more to make huge profit.
They have some prototypes nowadays but none in actual production so it's hard to say just how expensive they would be. Normal bulletproof vests are several hundred plus the advanced hydraulic system would probably end up costing a hell of a lot. Nimble probably got one off a dead guy for cheap.
