How can the game even be hard as a mage? The perfect storm allows you to kill them before you even open a door to arggo them. I guess if you didn't use all the OP spells it would be hard, but you'd know it was going to be anyways.

im on my first playthrough as a mage, can be tough at times.
How do you rest to heal injuries? So far I haven't had the option to and can't find any kits to cure them. It's not helped that I can't seam to get into a battle without most of my party dieing, and that whenever I program combat tactics for anything but "attack nearest enemy", my group all scatters and gets killed.
Also, is there any mage specific armor in the game other than the robes you get at the beginning of the game? So far I haven't come across anything and haven't sank any points into strength to use any better armor.

Also, yes, you do get more mage equipment. I'm not sure if you ever find any good stuff, so I just bought some spiffy shit in Denerim
Also, is there ANY POSSIBLE WAY to defeat Jarvia? Every other boss battle in this game pits your team of four against a smaill army, which would be fine every now and then, but it's almost every boss battle so far! All except the Ogre, anyway. I run into the room, use Cone of Cold to freeze everyone I can, and before anything else happens I realize that Sten is almost dead, so I heal him, and he just keeps getting hurt. When Sten finally dies, my whole party slowly follows. Even if I manage to kill Jarvia's troops, they keep respawning continuously. Is there any trick to beating her?
Oh god, I quit after I died from her about six times, I guess you have to take her out first and her troops will stop respawning?

I'm there now but there are 2 quest givers that wont give me quests. One says I'm a trouble maker and one is an elder who tells me to do what I want to and leave, or something like that. Do I just have to go down the highway to get to the camp, or do I have to finish those two quests first?
Even though I am a mage I am putting all of my points into strength so I can wear the blood dragon armor, because I don't like my character looking like a tool. :saddowns:
putting stuff in strenght is a MAJOR fuckup since if you pick ARCANE WARRIOR speciallization MAGIC=STRENGTH on items.
hurry, get a character editor while noones watching
putting stuff in strenght is a MAJOR fuckup since if you pick ARCANE WARRIOR speciallization MAGIC=STRENGTH on items.

If you put three points in strength and then hit reset, you can actually REMOVE 3 points from strength and put 6 points in anything else you want. I actually did that to remove some fuckups I did to my own mage (If it matters, I'm using the 1.02 patch)

Go to the bar, kill the guys that want you dead, recruit Leliana, go right outside the gate to find Sten, talk to him, go back to the church to get the key, set Sten free, head out into the field to kill bandits, save the Dwarf merchants from bandits, and finally leave Lothering. I'm not sure that's what you're SUPPOSED to do, but it's what I did. :)
Oh god, I quit after I died from her about six times, I guess you have to take her out first and her troops will stop respawning?
Maybe that'll work. I read somewhere that one guy just kept freezing her over and over, and casually taking out her troops until he could finally just kill her
So after hearing everyone sing its praises, I walked into the store and picked this up without knowing exactly what kind of game it was.
I mean, I've played KOTOR and so on, but I read absolutely zero on this game prior to purchasing it.
:aaaaa:
As my first game purchase of the new year, I've already got a feeling it's going to have been the best.

Oh cripes. Forgot about that one.
2 BioWare RPGs in one year. WHERE WILL I FIND THE TIME?!

by the tits of my ancestors!
Well, I couldn't beat Jarvia, and I actually did worse every time I tried. I finally just left and redeemed my code for Shale so I can train to get more spells to fight her with. :(
I don't know about you guys, but there's always some "basalt pebble" or something for me to delete in my inventory if I need to pick something up. I mean, you start out with 70 spaces, it's pretty generous.
I just finished a moment ago, my ending was so sad :c
Does drinking the blood of that temple dragon actually make you stronger or something?

Come to think of it, do HP/MP potions take up room from the bag? I believe potent ones do, but what about the other poultices?
So I was walking in dwarftown when suddenly

I tried walking back

no success

You unlock the Reaver specialization, but Wynne will go mega apeshit on you and attack. So will Leliana if you didn't complete a certain quest and tell her that she's a horrible person.

I got the same in Ostagar. There's a glitch there that lets you walk off th edge of a cliff and go places you shouldn't be. Just look around, you'll find a way to get back up eventually.

Reminds me of a video a friend of mine made.

Anyone else notice how Leliana's bard abilities (song of valor, song of courage etc) aren't actually songs but a single annoying yell?

Lelianna once stood completley frozen yelling something while my party died. I raged.

Apparently she raged too.
