Shale is a companion you can only get by purchasing the Stone Prisioner for $15 or so anyways (unless you have the deluxe edition).

Shale came with every copy of the game. Every one. But yeah, I just completed the prologue thing and got to the first town, so I haven't really had a chance to go find Shale yet.
i've always loved games like this where you pick the dialogue but i really want them to have a LOT more options. it's my dream to have a game like this where theres more than 4-5 things to say/ask and speech never gets repeated.

Does anyone else have a problem where after playing for a while, it starts to take forever to load?
it loads almost instantly when i start the game but after a few hours it takes FOREVER to load.

Yeah, there's a known memory leak. You fully patched up and whatnot?
That memory leak problem is the only reason why I take a break from this game sometimes.
I won't use alot of mods until someone made a great modpack like for example, FOOK 2 for fallout 3.

It is stated that Shale is a woman, you only learn of this if you have shale in your party for the final part of the dwarfs. But seeing as Shale is ... well a golem gender doesn't matter except for how to refer to her without using her name. Like that.
