I'm in the tower of the circle of magi, at the part where the [sp]sloth[/sp] demon [sp] has sent you to that fade or whatever it's called. I killed two of the demons and freed one party member. Please tell me this circle of magi quest is over when I kill the sloth demon,[/sp] it's starting to become a drag.
At first that quest sucked, but once you unlock all four powers it is awesome. Also you are nearly done, after that sequence you have one other floor of enemies to kill.

Still not all that fun, though. also, I'm completely out of healing methods. Is that a problem when facing [sp]the sloth demon[/sp] at the end of the quest?
I finished the game with no healers, only semi-good healing potions.
Seeing as I have a rogue + Sten + Alistair + what's her name again, this could prove problematic during the fight with the demon, since I only have a shitton of poisons now. Ah well, I'll just spam deathroot and hope it stuns my enemies enough for my dirty fighting to recharge. That said, when dual wielding weapons, I seem to miss quite a lot of my attacks. I'm not sure, but it seems as if I'm more accurate when swinging them both at the same time. Is that just me?

I can tell you what happens after you kill him though... [sp]You go up one more small floor to fight Uldred.[/sp] QUEST RELATED IN MAGI TOWER: [sp]BTW, if you did one of the quests that involves hitting the statues in a certain order you must go back to the first floor and click the basement door. A demon will appear and if you kill him you get some nice loot[/sp]
FUUUUUUUU- I killed the demon and went back to the mages tower. Yadda yadda yadda, I go on with my usual business and I fall into a trap. I get raped and think "Oh well, I'll just reload my last save and WHAT THE HELL AM I HERE AGAIN" Now I have to do that asshole all over again. :argh:

I forget to save all the time and when I do it's too late.
Definitely, it needs to autosave as often as Oblivion and Fallout 3. [editline]07:52PM[/editline] Which has me wondering, is there a mod that can do this?
I've just learn to spam F5 a lot. The difficulty of this game suprised me a lot. Couldn't imagine nightmare mode.
I save every area of the game seperately, when I'm in the mage's tower for the quest I usually save in every area of the Fade, and once more once I finish getting all the powerups. So you always know when you fuck up something you don't have to redo an assload all over again.
I've just learn to spam F5 a lot. The difficulty of this game suprised me a lot. Couldn't imagine nightmare mode.
Completely agreed. Fuck, I struggle on Normal.
Completely agreed. Fuck, I struggle on Normal.
Yeah, even on normal I have been dying quite often. Also, what's up with the Arl in Redcliffe? [sp] I save the little prick with the help of the mages guild and now I have to go and find that urn in Denerim? jeez. [/sp] That dude better be fucking grateful for everything I've been through for him.
Yeah he will be really grateful and help out -alot- (storywise and give you some decent shield I believe)
Yeah, after I revived him I made the mistake of recruiting a certain party member. Alistair got pissed. He left wearing my Juggernaut armor. Fuck Alistair. Thank god for autosave. Also, does anybody else feel envious of Revenants? :(

Is there some sort of respec mod available? I put some points into archer talents for my Rogue, and I never use a bow. :v:
I've killed alot of Revenants and I've not seen a single fucking Juggernaut armor drop. What am I doing wrong?
You need to kill the Revenants that spawn when you screw about with the gravestones in the Brecilian Forest (and complete some bizarre ritual for one piece).
Damn, you PC gamers and your F5 save feature... If my comp was up-to-date I'd definitely play this on the PC. Regarding Revenants: [sp] Revenants are usually hiding in phylacteries and gravestones which you have to disturb. However, there are 5 you fight in a quest that drops the juggernaut armor.[/sp] Regarding Juggernaut (and DLC) armor: [sp] BTW, DO NOT BUY THE REST OF THE DRAGON SET FROM the dwarf at camp. The Juggernaut armor is better in every way except for the dragon plate which you get for free at the start.[/sp]
God damn it. I'm at the part in the mountains [sp] when you just arrive and bounty hunters ambush you. [/sp] That fucking mage of theirs keeps hitting us all with electric bolts and whatnot and Sten drops like a goddamn rock in a lake.
Shale is like Fawkes from Fallout 3 all over again lol [editline]11:13PM[/editline]
God damn it. Also I always get the mages first in every battles since they're annoying shits that keeps healing other hostiles and their chain attacks.

ok, really, how hard is ot to "crushing prison" a mage? or *that spell that locks you into an invulnerable stun* on almost dying partymembers? how hard is it to use rougues for backstabs and stuns? how hard is it to have your warrior tank properly? how hard is it to use archers for stuns and critical hits and distance kills? i know i'm being harsh, but i can, and i'm not exactly the gaming genious. just try to work out some tactics by yourself and stop bitching about inbalanced games that are perfectly balanced if you do it right. yes, this was unprovoked in any direct way. but the constant cries for help against mages just spawned this scream of rage. Tip: stuns and crowd control is the way to go. the less your enemy is active the better. take down the strong ones first unless it's an actual boss. in that case keep him out of action VIA stuns and freezes and so forth while dealing with the thugs. or, freeze the strong ones first every time and deal with the small ones. both works perfect every time. EDIT: YUP, EDITED RIGHT HERE LADS! in what way was this advice disguised as a rage fit stupid?

Shanking mages as a rogue is so satisfying.
I've killed alot of Revenants and I've not seen a single fucking Juggernaut armor drop. What am I doing wrong?
The ones in the brecilian forest? They have to be from the brecilian forest, when you disturb the gravestones. The one nearest the hermit has to be disturbed first. [editline]04:42PM[/editline]
God damn it. Don't engage the bounty hunters, just run. The guard will initiate a conversation and the bounty hunter's cant do anything. Talk the other assholes at the gate out of fighting you and you're in Orzammar. When you come back out the Bounty Hunters will have scattered and be easy to kill.
Thanks guys, but I just shanked the mage with my dog and some magic while Alistair and my main character soaked up damage.

I did kill one revenant there though.

Those only give out loot. The ones for the quest in the forest give out Juggernaut pieces. The final piece to get is a pain in the ass.
