Seriously why the fuck is it delayed on XBL? Meh it'll come tomorrow seeing as I've got more free time then.
How come it isn't showing in the ingame DLC manager?
I think I figured out why they took all the first trailers down. The trailer had a pretty damn big spoiler for Awakening in it if you looked closely. In the new official trailer they changed that part to a little less spoilerific. You can still take see the spoiler but they didn't make it that obvious.
Everyone that knows what the spoiler was and saw it, be a nice guy and don't say it in here. It's quite a bummer to find that out without even playing the expansion.
I fucking hate myself to have been so on edge about this and watching the trailer in those 10 minutes it was on. :ohdear:
I was pissed off about the Violence trailer because it showed [sp]Jory getting stabbed[/sp].

Thank god I never watched any trailers for Dragon Age. :buddy:
Tough the first Awakening trailer spoiled more than [sp]Jory getting stabbed did.[/sp]
I've actually never ever seen a video of Dragon Age.
Actually the violence trailer was the one and only trailer I watched for Dragon Age. I guess I didn't notice [sp]Jory getting stabbed[/sp] or forgot about it once I got the game.
This game sucked donkey cock.
Harsh review right there.
You might think so, but this is my face whenever I'm playing dragon age

I had a nasty suspicion that his face looked oddly familiar once I met him.
Then it hit me. I was trying to find a way to avoid it, but I couldn't find anything. Damn you trailer.
Fucking sliding block puzzle to complete the Shale quest.
Seriously. I hate sliding block puzzles.

What was the spoiler? I didn't get to catch it. PM me it if you guys don't want to add tags to it in here.

Agreed.
By the by, the new expansion looks kickass. I hope the "5 all new companions" are as cool as the original cast.

[sp]It pretty much describes the last 20 minutes of the game, not even trying to hide spoilers. I.E. Alistair king, Archdemon killed, the blight is broken up into small bands of darkspawn[/sp]
Maybe i should actually go to my nearest store and pick this up.

It's like they decided to take out the tower of hanoi puzzles and instead replace it with a type just as bad :\
Actually I think I'd rather have the tower of hanoi back because at least I've memorized how to solve it

I don't see how that is any important. Most people already at least beat the game once, especially those that would be most interested in Awakening. In fact, I'm actually glad I caught that because now at least I know which endings are cannon.
[editline]12:02AM[/editline]
[sp] It seems that Alistair being chosen as king and you dying to kill the archdemon was cannon [/sp]
I'm sure they'll accommodate all the endings so that they are cannon, it would suck if that was the only true ending because I got quite the opposite :\
In mine [sp]Anora became queen because Alistair sacrificed himself for me ;_;[/sp]

mine was [sp] allistair king and i became his right hand. anora left the country because i made allistair rape loghain. morrigan was the only unhappy one. and Lel who i had played with (70 rating) suggested that the hero always gets the girls.[/sp] hell yeah!!! awakening is gonna be cake to me. seing as i'm the most powerful individual in ferelden. politically and well, the violent one.

I really couldn't see them making all endings cannon as Alistair seems to play a very large role in Awakening. [sp] Not only is he the king as seen by the trailer [/sp], but he is also the big guest-star of Awakening, which I am very happy for since he's one of my favorite characters.
Another thing is that there are way too many minor and major paths for each to have it's own "sequel" in Awakening. There's just too many things that can potentially change the world in DA:O, and to have each one effect Awakening from save data alone would be unrealistic. There's also the fact of how the game will be if you choose to not import you character and start as an Orlesian.
The only things I could see effecting Awakening, if you import your character, would be how you handled the major quests of the game like Redcliffe and Orzammar. They don't really impact the end-game, but they're major enough to change the gameworld.

the problem is that much of what you did had great impact on the world. i imagine that the 6 big quests are all accounted for in this.
Indeed. Another thing to take into consideration is Morrigan at the end.
[sp] BioWare said that you will encounter her again. This leads me to believe that doing her ritual may be the "cannon" ending as it makes the most sense if you import your character in Awakening. Because, you now, you aren't dead. [/sp]
I do think that it will be like ME;
Canon is how you play.

damn straight son. i don't get the "it surely CAN'T be that all endings are accounted for, no sir" you're forgetting the philosophy behind this game. what if this "special" reapperance also depends on your choices, if any?
and if you become orlesian, the death ending with allistair king is probrably the canon one and you'll hear tales of your former incarnation.
My ending was [sp] Morrigan ritual done, Loghain recruited, killed archdemon, Loghain becomes Grey Warden general, I go to Seheron with Sten[/sp]
Agreed.

The ending of the first trailer concerned the "ending" or rather a plot point in the expansion.
Also could everybody saying "canon" ending? The devs said that the way you origins playthrough played out is going to be taken into consideration and your playthrough through Awakening is going to change accordingly.

One of the very few things that has been said about the expansion other than the official announcement was that you will not be able to choose that reappearance. David Gaider, the guy that wrote the prequels, said that here.
Also a thing to consider while watching the trailer, that's the way it played out for somebody at BioWare, not your playthrough. [SP]Oghren, who you see in the trailer ( http://i47.tinypic.com/2nm0jle.png ) might also not be the reappearance, at least not in the way that he's in your party. In one of his endings he gets made a general by Alistair, so that could be why he's there.[/SP]

as you say, i didn't mean that i directly chose. i, just as you, thought that it may be your entire playthrough that dictates that.
[sp]and i also saw allistair, maybe he's on a more than kingly duty seing as a ton of endings have him not king.[/sp]
at least i hope they leave him out if i pised him off earlier.
Yeah we bad

Then I cut her head off, THERE CAN BE NO REDEMPTION FOR MALEFICARUM
Oh wow, I just watched the trailer for Awakening and the first guy who talks in the trailer the one who says, "We were ambushed by Darkspawn," looks just like my character. No joke, they could be twins.
When I saw it I was like "Sweet, new trailer!"
Then I watched it and was like "Damn, now I just spoiled the end for myself"
Then I was like "That's a pretty obvious ending"
This games the shit sonn
