Do enemies have a determined level in their own area or do they get stronger as you get stronger? I just went through Redcliff castle and all of those enemies where a bitch to kill. My party died very often, but now I went to the circle of magi's tower and am practically breezing through it. All the enemies seem to do less damage and take more damage than in Redcliff castle. Was I ment to do the mage tower first or is Redcliff just set up to be a more difficult fight than average?
I found Redcliffe one of the most difficult parts of the game. I'd guess that it has something to do with the fact that you are mobbed by so many enemies at once in Redcliffe compared to other parts of the game.

the game balances according to level. but i have a theory that the Mage Tower is milder because it's there that you score some stat boosts for your main. and i kinda think that the autobalance for the rest of the areas are expecting you to have those...
Also another thing:
Okay, what the shit. I'm in the werewolf ruins and I encountered a ghost child. I briefly speak to him before my party gets slaughtered by skeletons. What am I supposed to do?
Play more strategically? Load up on health potions, make sure your tank has his threaten skill on, funnel them and cause AoE damage, or you can run back into the stair well and that way they can't surround you. Also, if you think that's hard, you're ganna rip your hair out when you fight the last boss to that place.
If it's too difficult for you, you could also consider easy difficulty which takes much less planning to succeed

Don't have time for strategy, everyone dies within 10 seconds or so.

That is why there is a spacebar.

Oh. Is there only one?
I think the hardest dungeon is the Dwarf one
I died so many times i only refer do it as the FUCK YOU dungeon
Orzammar was annoying.
Was too long.

You aren't, by any chance, playing on the 360, are you? I remember reading there's no true pause function on there. Which would make the game ridiculously tough.
Orzammar was by far the worst part of the game.
That being said it was better than the best parts of many other games.
The [sp]Brood Mother[/sp] was a long fight.

No, I'm playing on the PC. It's just that everyone dies before they can really do much. I guess my best option is to leave, complete more side quests, level up, and come back.
I think the town of orzammar was the best "town" in the game, it really felt like a dwarven city and was awesome to be in.
Problem was, the quest for that area just DRAGGED ON. The deep roads were way too "boring and generic" compared to to Orzammar itself, and they were fucking long/massive. Takes you hours to get through it and it's own personal overworld map, it's rediculous.

Yeah I have no problem with Orzammar itself.
But the quests are just annoying.

Safe travels, my nug-wrangling friend.

Ya, getting attacked by 10 zombies at once, each with ridiculously high health and all of them attacking Sten because I put him in heavy armor.
I may have spoke too soon in saying that the Circle of Magi tower is easy. These bosses are kicking my ass.
The last boss of the Circle was really the only one to give me trouble.
i just gave Allistair a gift for the first time... he went all "OMG for me? HOLY SHIT THANKS!!!"
"wow - is that for me? i'm - WOW!"
[editline]11:36PM[/editline]
also just did Redcliffe on Hard with everyone alive in first try. i had to lock up Murdoch with Force Field through the whole battle since his health was low.
also just succeded a 6 V 4 battle without letting get a single hit. Micro Managing really improves the odds.
I gave sten a painting and he was like "Good one."

my eyes!
How do you kill the desire demon that is talking to the Templar in the mage tower? I have fought her like ten times now and can't win.
Ok, I finally killed that Desire demon! My God that's a hard fight. In the end, only Sten survived the slaughter, and only after, like, 10 health potions and constant missing while fighting the remaining zombie and the Templar. That demon is so cheep, constant freezing and instant stunning after the dialog! I have never had to pause so many times playing this game just to survive by the skin of my teeth. I've also never had to control so many other characters in a battle before. I like to just control my own character most of the time, but I guess that's out of the question for insane cluster fucks like that.
Roight, well i'm on my way to bully the elves into helping me.

I'm looking at all your guys' troubles with the game and a similar them is popping up again and again.

I'd say ditch that bastard and go with a real tank like Shale.
