Also, I love Overwhelm. incapacitate an enemy and kill him near instantly? Yes please!
I fucking hated that move being used on me during the solo parts of mage.
I fucking hated that move being used on me during the solo parts of mage.
It's marvelous when you're not the one being hit by it. Of course, only characters in transformed mode or Dog can use it. :frown:
Alright, I'm going to beat this Archdemon this time, Goddamnit. Here I go! [sp]YES! I DID IT! Alistar got the final blow to the head, but of course, the cutscene showed myself sticking the sword into it's skull. Can't wait for the expansion, I wanna know what Morrigan did with my child, and want to know where Leilana went, since I had a relationship with her, it said that she stayed with my character "for a time." I hope that Dog, who I named Sythe returns, I love him. :3[/sp] EDIT #3: Can I continue to play the game now that it is over? Like, do sidequests and shit or no?
EDIT #3: Can I continue to play the game now that it is over? Like, do sidequests and shit or no?
quoting the big man Sten: No now, on to the less antisocial answer... YES, to a degree, you'll have an engame save after the epilogue set before the final battle.
Obtaining money for me is pretty difficult, any mod to increase the amount of money I get from selling and looting?
How well will my game run with this setup? AMD Phenom™ II X4 945 Quad-Core CPU 4 GB DDR2-800 PC6400 NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT - 512MB Vista Home Premium 32 bit

Just found an Easter Egg. One of Shale's selection voice commands (When you change him to the controlled character), says "Stop Poking Me", which is a reference to an easter egg in Warcraft, where if you click on a unit enough times, it would ask you to stop poking it. Easter egg within an easter egg mindfuck! :gonk:
No you can't [sp]You will be in that room where you go out to the crowd forever until the expansion.[/sp]
Uh what, [sp]iirc reloading the epilogue save will send you back to your camp and then give you a message saying that you've beaten DA and you can now do any DLC quests and such since it reverts time to just before the attack on Denerim. Any quests you didn't do before hand are lost though[/sp]
Mine just puts me back in that room. What the hell?
Hi. I'm new here. I just got the original game and I'm getting random crashes which, annoyingly, tend to happen right when I'm getting somewhere in a level and I lose my progress. Any ideas?
Mine just puts me back in that room. What the hell?
You're loading from the Post-Campaign Save right? I think it gets made after you leave the final room by talking with the guards
Will the expansion even follow from your same character? I know you can use your character from your previous games, but isn't that just to get your spells and talents? [sp]Or is that why it's called "awakening"? your character comes back to life?[/sp]
If your character dies you will make a new one. If your character lives you will continue to use them.
If your character dies you will make a new one. If your character lives you will continue to use them.
Actually, you can continue to use your character even if they die. From the FAQ:
If a player wants to, they can import their "Dead Warden" into Awakening and play as them. For the story it's assumed that they didn't make the ultimate sacrifice, instead somehow survived. A player would start as the same level with the same gear as their "Dead Warden". Essentially, if a player doesn't have a problem hand-waiving the story in this regard - neither do we.
Ah. I never read FAQs.
Oh damn. Why the hell did I read the FAQs?
Who can I romance in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening? There are no romances options available in Awakening. The story is focused more on the mission at hand and the new threat to Ferelden.

Oh damn. Why the hell did I read the FAQs?
oh damn. why the head did i read that post?
So tell me, have you ever licked a lamppost in winter?
Is it possible to give the cake you find from Dog to Sten? I mean, I don't want him to believe that cakes are lies.
Seriously. I'm surprised no one's said anything here for 2 weeks. Especially with Awakening having been released today.
I bought the Digital Deluxe Edition on STEAM thinking it included Awakening, I just noticed it didn't, I would have just bought the normal game for 6 pounds less if I read it...
That sucks. I've yet to get the expansion, I haven't heard anything about whether it's good or bad though.
Could anyone tell me, without using spoilers, about how long the main story is without doing side quests? I have played up to that one town where you then make the decision on who to go to first, and that is when I stopped playing. I am asking because this is one of the game that I am considering for my first Let's Plays on youtube but I don't want the game to be too long. So yeah, for a first time player, first time through the main story, about how long?
Seriously. I'm surprised no one's said anything here for 2 weeks. Especially with Awakening having been released today.
Today? Steam tells me it will be released Thursday. Oh god dammit, suddenly steam starts releasing shit on different days for different regions.
