Why don't you just play online? Its tons of fun. Just get into a 10-16 player game and hope the other people on your team are good.
The reason I use AIs is so I can get into it first, I hardly know anything about the games as it is. I'd look like an idiot if I went into a match with hardly any experience.

It shouldn't make a difference for you.
One of the best AI for any of the regular games such as BA, TA, NOTA, is Rai. Slow at first and rapes until later like DireAvenger said, it also goes into overtime if you dare to launch a nuke and miss its main base. Then it just proceeds to send out waves and waves of units against you.

At the 12 minute mark, my troops kept getting raped by 300000 explosive bullets coming from those squares. When I finally got it look, it built NINE fucking vulcans. NINE FUCKING VULCANS Instant game lose, because it had AA, Ground defence, water defence, and those vulcans. Fuck.
Hey in further Releases will there be any changes to direct control like in the video are you direct controling that plane because all i can do is go into first person, third person would be great :D
When you do the initial installation of the Spring RTS installer, you can choose from two different Lobby clients: a) TASClient b) SpringLobby [default] TasClient is much more stable and I think also _much_ more user-friendly than SpringLobby. Sharkey's Machine
Think this will run decently on a netbook?
All Spring battles are recorded, and you can watch a replay of a game from via the Lobby client. Also some notable and recent Spring replays can be found at http://replays.adune.nl/ In the meanwhile, here are some Spring Videos of some games, for your enjoyment: A really nice video of the Spring XTA mod, of a game on map Sierra 1:35 - an example of unit shields 3:15 - base gets surrounded by enemy air units 4:10 - Tech Level 1 PeeWee spam gets pwned by Tech Level 2 units 6:00 - Base gets destroyed by three Vulcans Spring RTS Trailer All the Lonely PeeWees Commanders Going the Distance (an example of tactical Commander drops, into an enemy base to dgun everything) 1:30 through 1:40 is dgun heaven lol!
