Oh god the new interface fails at life
Shores of Hazeron beats the shit out of this game. :colbert:.
This game has nothing to do with SoH except the fact that it's in space. :colbert:
It's a game that is primarily about management of resources set in space. Except it's text-based, and SoH isn't.
Either way, there are so many games like this with the same exactly game mechanics it's not even funny.
Well you could consider playing 4X space games. This is a browsergame.

That's like saying all RTSes are the same because they have the same game mechanics. :colbert:

I have lvl 7 solar plant your point is invalid
only bad thing about this game is that there's no way to fight against stronger opponents, like, once you hit 5000 points and therefore are out of newbie protection, you're nothing but a delicious resource farm to anything stronger than you
oh and the fact that they fucked up the game balance by adding real-money huge game advantage buyable options (officers)

In the older unis they were generally frowned upon and you used to get bashed quite a lot for having one.
[editline]06:16PM[/editline]
and the trick with farming is to make yourself not worth someones time. Either by building enough defenses to make you unprofitable or don't leave any res about.
Exactly, players only attack planets with resources. Also I doubt a 1000k player would attack a 5k player for resource gain.
The thing to do is simply fleet saving.
I have lvl 7 solar plant your point is invalid
so do i.
my way of playing the game is turtle turtle turtle from the very first minute you can build defenses. stops people blowing me up and then i can get a recycler to my debris field and profit from it.

What I learned from my previous run was that no matter how much defenses you have, there's always someone who can fuck your shit up. I had tens of thousands of rocket launchers and light lasers, thousands of ion cannons, hundreds of gauss cannons and plasma cannons (why did they change them to "plasma turrets", that sounds so pussy), both planetary shields plus my large fleet, and I got raped by thousands of destroyers by a top tier player. You're NEVER safe.
i guess, but i don't think anyone has massed that much on here yet. oh i have a good fleetsaving tip, set your fleet speed to 10% and go to like galaxy 9. i think it takes like a week, only downside is the deut consumption
