To be honest, I didn't even like Breen. In my opinion, none of the characters in HL2 built any sort of emotional connection to the player.
I enjoyed Halo, the first three were great. I also enjoyed Gears of War to a lesser extent. But the truth remains, kids nowadays are playing CoD6, Gears of War and Halo, and that's pretty much it.
Deal with it.

Sorry. got over excited there. I see what you mean. But most did emotionally connect to Eli and Alyx. I did. but I couldn't care less about Breen. He's a piece of work and a backstabber, but he's really weak at instilling hate or any emotions at all. Almost didn't notice him.

You missed the point, so much so that your reply is actually completely unrelated to my post.
As far as villains go, Breen isn't great, nor is RAAM. If you vote Breen because he's Valve, with no consideration as to who is the better character, it's no better than saying "LOL VOTE RAAM TO TROLL VALVE LOL!"
Two sides of the same coin. There's going to be people who think RAAM is better than Breen, and vice versa, there's no invalidity in either of those. It's people who say "Valve should win because PC is best/Valve is best/I let others guide my opinion" who are as bad as each other.
Whatever Breen is still a winner in my opinion,even if he lost to some Lizard thing.

Breen was an asshole. A traitor. Completely disgusting, especially visible when you meet him face-to-face in the citadel before the finale and you see how he interacts with his victims. He's so arrogant and cocksure, so drunk on power when all he is when it comes down to it just a coward. That really made me want to SCIENCE the shit out of him.
Breen also tries to talk some sense into Gordon. He's reasons are understandable but selfish at the same time.

Breen was a good, developed character, I dont think you understand, Half-Life 2 was made in part by his character, I refer you to the last 30 mins of gameplay and the countless public announcement messages he does.
Were not voting because hes Valve, were voting because its either him or generic Gears of war "enemy because someone has to be",General RAAM, to which delivers with the depth of a spoon.

He's saying that voting for breen with the usual "vaelv iz teh best" or elitizing against GoW is basically equal to being an idiot who just has to screw the vote up. i agree. and that seems to be more of a motivation to vote than him actually being a proper villain.
IMO, at least RAAM was present and tangible. Breen just rambled on about serving the masters and relocating and when you finally meet him... you're fucking locked tight and then he goes all "bye bye babeh" *cut to ep1*
why is Lizardman generic when "man who sells humanity out to motherfuckers" isn't... it's two fucking major cliche's, the sellout being used far more than the piss annoying villain who kills all the right people.

I'm not sure if it was confirmed whether Breen sold humanity out for power, or whether he convinced to Combine to enslave us rather than destroy us outright. If it's the later, it makes him a more sympathetic character. Anyway, I don't care if Raam wins since he knocked out Sephiroth the first round.
