This has been posted everywhere except in the Valve games and mods section.
IF valve made a movie, and it's similar to this, I am all for it.
Was very well made for a fan made short.
How do you know that? We weren't given very much information about how they actually travelled through their portals.
Please don't fucking roll the idiot ball down the mountain, it will become huge. But yeah, strange flying thing was only thing remotely objectionable about this.
Correction: He uses the helmet in the citadel core (also how does he zoom does he have fucking camera lenses for eyes or something.)
The suit doesn't have a helmet.
The HUD is projected onto his glasses.
The HUD is projected onto his glasses.
Best theory. No, Gordon doesn't have a helmet. If you play HL1 or watch the first (maybe second?) Bit of Freeman's mind, he comments his helmet was stolen too if you never heard it. The HEV suit has a helmet, but Gordon doesn't have it. How his head isn't irradiated, I don't know.
Get this guy to work for valve. Now.
Despite his PHD, he has a bit of a thick skull. :v:
My favorite part was when he was juking strider bullets

My computer lagged while watching this, a true masterpiece.
1) Combine didn't come in space ships 2) Don't make a movie about Gordon. He can have a cameo, but the player is supposed to be Gordon. He doesn't talk for a reason 3) That trailer is fucking awesome
Don't lie. Nobody ever said how the combine invaded earth, And this seems to be the most plausible one.

That was awesome and I have no idea why (some) people don't like it.
The HUD is projected onto his glasses.
Or, you know, it's a video game so the HUD is only there for the player. But that's just silly.
Actually the HUD only appears with his suit so there is some explanation how Freeman has it.
Oh my this looks interesting.
Pretty bad name in my opinion. Should just be called "Freeman".
Given that some of the Rebels and the Vortigants say "The Freeman." I think it works.
Actually the HUD only appears with his suit so there is some explanation how Freeman has it.
He doesn't need his glasses. They're actually wireless connected to the suit. it wears them outside of work because they're bad ass.
Looking good. He better not talk though. Otherwise they've sort of missed the point.
I think the HUD can be shown because the suit interacts with his neural inputs, effectively making him "controllably hallucinate" the heads-up display. Also, why the fuck does he need a helmet he has to show off that awesome goatee so the Combine gets intimidated you know.
I came buckets. If the guy staring at the wall was supposed to be Freeman, then they need to make him skinnier.
To be honest, I could see a movie working even if Gordon has to talk a lot. Sure, as an element of the game it helped, but as a movie, who cares if he talks, as long as he looks and sounds plausible? The majesty of HL2 isn't that Gordon doesn't talk- it's the amazing universe and story unfolding that you get to play in the middle of. To bridge the gap? Make the main character a citizen-gone Resistance fighter. That way you get the obligatory awesome beginning scenes with Civil Protection and the still most epic sounding sirens i've heard anywhere.

As far as story and universe, it's fairly uninspired.

Gordon seems like an actual person in this.
Gordon seems like an actual person in this.
Yea, I expected his animations to be really, really stiff, but it turned out preety okay.
I still think Gordon looks god awful in this. He looks like a Stretch Armstrong [editline]09:00AM[/editline]
