I´m sorry for saying this again, in Underground they tried to make street racing, they made it good in both Undeground games. The others are just incomplet. And yes, driving "Hundred thousand dollars sports cars and supercars, cops driving supercars, and fully arcade driving physics..." was nice and fun but in Shift you have "almost" the same feeling.

Hell, Hot Pursuit better have cops that are ruthless or at least makes you shit yourself or scares the living shit out of you(in other words, hard as hell).
Although, I would try U3 or a sequel to Most Wanted(series, maybe have 9 pursuit levels, and make it good this time, and have more feds).
Although I would enjoy playing the cop career, using EMPs or spike strips.

Actually, NFS3 was the first one to have cops, the 9th one(Most Wanted) expanded on that a lot and featured them in a story as well(and you had to evade the police in the end).

Yes they can't name games worth a fuck if they named them right this would be either Hot Pursuit 3 or 4 depending if you want to count Most Wanted as its street car themed rather than supercars.
