make spiders drop gears
Then we'd need robot spiders
Then we'd need robot spiders
I have the perfect idea for that, give me a second to find the picture. Edit: Clockwork Horrors, from Dungeons and Dragons. Having them in it (or something similar) would be totally badass.

do you mind if I use you ore textures in a pack im making?
You have managed to get me semi-interested in both steampunk, and downloading a texture pack.
I'm looking forward to seeing the creepers.
Add some pipes to the armour- well, what looks like pipes.
Add some pipes to the armour- well, what looks like pipes.
Good idea, thank you.
do you mind if I use you ore textures in a pack im making?
If it is a compilation pack, e.g. Gerudoku's, Lendoku's, etc. then yes with proper credit. But if you are just making a pack from scratch then I would have to say no, but I would reccomend making your own. People like that.

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of content over the past few days but I was out of town. The little bit that I did post, as you can see, was all text (save the gold picture) as I was posting from my phone. To make up for this, I am going to work a lot on this today. This starts with... Cobblestone: Cobblestone Enlarged:
The sandstone texture is good.
wait if this is 32x32 can i double the size of the armor texture to fit more detail in?
Do you have idea what redstone dust will be? Maybe pipes or something.
Since mossy cobblestone is just the cobblestone texture with moss, I added a part where it is tiled with regular cobblestone vs the usual block/tiled with itself. Mossy Cobblestone: Mossy Cobblestone: [editline]6th March 2011[/editline]
wait if this is 32x32 can i double the size of the armor texture to fit more detail in?
Idk you could try. [editline]6th March 2011[/editline]
Do you have idea what redstone dust will be? Maybe pipes or something.
Pipes are a good idea. I'll see what happens [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] Also, I added more contrast to the sandstone to see the details better, but its not worth posting as it is essentially the same. [editline]6th March 2011[/editline]
Before I continue I want to know if I'm going in the right direction. I have made the Iron Chestplate and the Iron Cap both slightly rusted/dirty all over with Brass trim. [img_thumb]http://i.cubeupload.com/fGWHxc.png[/img_thumb] Let me know if you want anything added or changed.
It is cooler than the original, but I would change it up a bit. Make it less plain :D

[editline]6th March 2011[/editline] I put all of the textures so far together and tested it out, The Smoothstone doesn't look natural, might I suggest putting some noise on it, i didn't put a picture becuase i didn't know if you wanted me to.

What exactly looks bad about it? [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] Not grainy enough?
Smoothstone already has noise. What exactly looks bad about it? [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] Not grainy enough?
It looks too man-made, ill pm you a picture of it.
-snip, slowpunch-
Added noise and brightness/contrast fix [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] Try this one out.
your adding the wrong type of noise, you have to add Monochromatic noise otheriwse it makes everything colorful.

Actually, screw it. The more I look at it, the more its growing on me, it looks good, if we had some matching dirt textures it would work great.
Yeah, I've been holding out on dirt and grass as long as I could, but... ok.
Do you want me to post some In-Game pictures of the blocks?
If you'd like. It would give good insight into how they are working.
Alright. Here's all the blocks And here's a Mock Dungeon I made to showcase the cobble/mossy cobble. [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] whoops forgot coal, but you know what it looks like.
