There is no such thing as wooden tools, you start with copper.

i've planted acorns at the beginning of my save, they still havn't grown like 15 hours later, is there something you have to do to them?
also what do you have to do to get goblin invasions, there must be some trigger or something that makes you good enough to defeat them, else everybody would get them from the start?

You just clear a patch of grass and click the acorn on the ground. A sapling will appear on the spot if you did it right.
