I won't be playing in the server as it is (using the same map for offline), though I may come in later on in case I managed to make a functional 6-room house on a different map.
After the starfurys buff it's become quite useful against bosses.
Helped me a lot during the first battle against Skeletron.

Find the hearts in heart crystals, you need a hammer to break them. Easiest gun to get is a musket, go to the corruption and jump down a chasm (make sure you have double jump, grapple or horseshoe or you'll die) blow the shit up with dynamite then break the dark orb with a hammer.

I could sell you a flintlock pistol with 250 Musket balls for a decent offer. Or you could go looking for them shadow orbs.
Musket is better than the Flintlock pistol tho. They're essentially the same thing, pistol does 7 damage at a high rate of fire and Musket does 14 at very slow rof. Musket uses half the amount of balls with the same damage output.

Most agreed. Considering how quickly one can get the current endgame equipment the game really needs some challenging bosses, along with harder normal enemies.
I'd like to see bosses that require team tactics at least. I hate bosses that have a million health and all everyone does is just spam potions and attack it constantly. That's not challenging, just tedious.
