Tip for The devourer of Earths, Get the Ball o' hurt(think thats what its called) Me and a friend both have one, and you rip through him within 5 minutes, and he drops shadow scalemail, worth 7 protection, and like a load of demonite(demonight?i dont know)
I just found a dungeon all of a sudden while exploring a cave. Will skeletron start fucking me up once I enter it?
You might be able to grab an item or two if you're fast, but you're not going to get out alive out of there (unless you happen to find a Magic Mirror, which's unlikely).
So does devourer or worlds randomly appear after breaking shadow orbs now? I was playing with some friends last night and one of them was mining a meteorite while I was in my house sorting my inventory when devourer of worlds came out of freaking nowhere.
I broke a shadow orb and Eye of Cthulu came. I fought him for a while and then... A falling star hit him and killed him.

How much damage did it do/how many HP did the eye have?

Yeah those things can do like 1000 damage when they fall.
Im still trying to get to a demon altar to create that thing that summons him.

They eye had more than 1000 HP left, I don't know how much damage it did. I didn't see.

Devourers tend to follow players out of the Corruption.
Hello everyone  I have an important question before getting this game! :
How does this game make the world save for people that want to play with a friend in one and the same world all the time? Example : I set up the hamachi and he joins it then he and me is going to play then we get tired and quit it (does it save for both or only on my side?!) and the next day we want to progress further on the same thing. So if he is playing the game without me online is he still able to play the world he and me were doing all the time? And when I come online can we load up that too? (By the way, he = my brother)
My medium world sucks, 10 minutes into a small world and I've already found a demon altar, a gigantic deposit of iron ore, and a chest with 10 iron bars, 2 gold coins, and sone Hermes boots in it.
I just got the message. "You feel an evil presence watching you."
What happens next?
An Eye of Cthulhu should spawn soon

I have a similar set up with my bro. He needs to give you the world file if you want to play without him hosting.

The world doesn't save for both of you. The world only saves for the person hosting.
So if you do stuff with a friend on a world and then stop playing, it's not like he can just keep playing on that world after you close down the server. The hoster, however, can play SP on that world. When he hosts another server with the new one, the friend can play on it.
Characters save for both sides though.
Does the guy who keeps making "mapview" have a website?
if not I'm willing to make one for his new versions!

The person who hosts the server, defines what map everybody who connects plays on.
So if your brother wants to play on the map without you, you need to host the map and keep it running.
As soon as a player disconnects from a server, it saves them.
When the server shuts down, it disconnects all of the players safely, then saves the map.
As far as i'm aware, maps don't autosave currently, so if the server crashes, there's a rollback.

I could put it up on my main website, but I don't really care that much.
(I worked on half of it)
What is required to mine in corruption?

You can play worlds on singleplayer and multiplayer, and the level only gets stored on the host computer. Every change is saved, both in SP and MP, and every world can be played in SP and MP.

10.
Have to turn them into a suspicious eye at a demon altar and then use it at night.

Thanks everybody for the answer on this, very lovely :buddy: (and quick)
Is there a mapview that works with the current version?
Are buckets actually useful? So far the only purpose of getting water is to make little ponds.

The rooms are way too small, and the floors need to be double stacked for two rooms to be above eachother, due to the floor detection code it cannot overlap another room.
I recommend making your rooms 5 high with the 6th block being the roof, rather than 4 high.

It was like the 5th post in the thread I believe.

I typoed. It was supposed to say devourer of world, not devourer or worlds. As in the boss. It came out of nowhere while a friend was mining a meteorite. I ended up fighting it in my house.
