Pointing out someone's grammar mistakes in a discussion you're losing is a sign that you have nothing else to say.
I never said network didn't have routers, I said I didn't. I also said the network is completely open and just a relay between my ISP and me, provided freely by the SSHN.
Edit:
I'm pretty sure switches can also be used, but who knows.
of course when you want to see Bone Worms they are like non existant but when you're mining for hellstone they swarm you like moths to a fire.
How do you get a depth meter?
I found out what I was doing wrong with my port forwarding...I wasn't forwarding a port at all. I was forwarding a virtual server. whatever the fuck that is.
Terraria needs ramp blocks/stair blocks so I can use my boots at speed all the time
Anyone have a stable server up? PM me if you don't want to make the server info public.

It needs ladders so I don't have to jump all the way up from my mine.

It's entirely possible that your ISP blocks non-standard ports by default.

You can stack up platforms for makeshift ladders though :v:

platforms make great ladders. (If you have a chain it's even better, Just click upwards then jump over and over)

You're not even bothering with the screenshot, are you?
I'm going to pull out a card here. The "I'm a student and partial worker in the ICT" card.
I'm pretty sure I'm right.

You have to keep jumping though. With ladders I assume you'd just hold up.
Stairs could work the same way, you would only go up them if you held up.

Too busy stripping out the source code trying to make a linux dedicated server client. sorry. :unsmith:

I don't think you understand port forwarding
it's obviously not blocking it
but when your university gets a packet on the terraria port, how do you expect it to know where that should go? Do you have intelligent switches that go OH G1REAL IS THE KIND OF GUY THAT WOULD HOST A TERRARIA SERVER? Because port forwarding is what tells it where to send packets on that port.
By the way, for people getting Connection Actively Refused, the server host needs to disable all network adaptors except the one they're using (don't disable your net connection if you're using hamachi, of course). I Had a server running on my external address, couldn't connect through lan, localhost, hamachi, anything; My friends could join my server, but I could not. Then I tried connecting to the address attached to my vmware virtual adaptor (something like 192.168.226.1) and I went right into my server.
(This game, it needs fixing; Also bigger resolutions)

Yeah I struggled with that for a while before I randomly disabled my Hamachi network adapter and it worked great.
Hamachi is trash anyway.

AGREED. But I still need it for the occasional ancient game that only supports LAN :(
I got rated funny for this in Fast Threads but I'm just gonna say what the hell and offer my Minecraft account for this game
Good deal considering Minecraft is normally $20 and this is $10

1) I have my own IP address, which is not a LAN IP. I am connecting to a manually set gateway.
2) I connected before.
3) Others connected before.
4) Your whole point is moot and speculation.
5) University doesn't even block torrent packets.
6) There is no reason for the university to block Terraria packets.
6) University never has blocked any other ports before.
7) Did I mention I connected before after using an external program.
8) You now realise I have point 6 twice.
9) This discussion is over as it's getting majorly off topic.
Edit: Interesting how you got told and then stopped replying after my argument completely devastated any form of possible discussion.
Ugh any tips for Giant Worms? Whenever I get to the bottom of my mine a worm will spawn and destroy me since I only have a bronze shortsword.
How do you acquire a depth meter?

Copper, you mean? Why are you using a shortsword anyway? They don't really have much use. You'd be better off with a Broadsword.
Sweet Baby Jesus Moses Ali, why is it so hard to find a server?
How do you acquire a depth meter?
10 Copper, 8 Silver, 6 Gold at table with a chair.
Im planning on taking my adventure in this order.
Mining to get silver armor
Digging down to get to the skeletons
Make a grappling hook
Go to the corruption and smash those orbs
Mine meteorites
Go to the floating islands
Go to the Dungeon
Go to the hell part
Then to the underground jungle
how does that sound?
Trading shadow scalemail for weapons above phaseblades, a lucky horseshoe, a red balloon, or other interesting dungeon (not mining chests) or jungle items. Providing server.
Actually I'd also take a cloud in a jar for a friend.

Thank you, fucking shit.
Mapview still doesn't work for me, :frown:
Now working on world1.wld
System.InvalidOperationException: Wrong file version! This is for first Steam release maps only!
at mapview.Program.Main(String[] args)
Using the latest version.
Anyone know how to make a flamarang? 15 meteorite bars and the enchanted boomerang isn't working. D:
